Job Summary
The Senior QC Assistant is responsible for conducting quality control activities to ensure that raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished products meet established food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The role involves laboratory testing, process monitoring, documentation, investigation of quality issues, and supporting the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's degree completed in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Experience
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, preferably in a reputed food, beverage, or FMCG industry.
Required Competencies
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and continuously improve.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts.
• Laboratory testing and analytical skills.
• Documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP, GMP, GHP, and ISO standards.

NEFOSTA is proud to announce the successful completion of the 10th National Conference on Food Science and Technology, held on May 8–9, 2026 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Under the theme “Reimagining Food Systems: Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Nutrition through Science, Policy, and Smart Innovation,” the conference brought together researchers, academicians, policymakers, industry leaders, students, and international experts for meaningful discussions and collaboration.

From keynote sessions and technical presentations to panel discussions and poster presentations, the conference created an impactful platform for knowledge exchange on food systems, sustainability, innovation, and food safety.
