Against the backdrop of the recent devastating disaster in Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, and beyond, this session created an open space to reflect on Nepal’s climate vulnerabilities and amplify our collective demand for global climate justice.

Recent devastation across Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot highlights a severe reality: frontline communities face loss of life, livelihoods, and infrastructure for a global crisis they did not create.

To address this disproportionate burden, Digo Bikas Institute (DBI) is organizing a participatory dialogue connecting youth leaders, researchers, activists, and practitioners.

Nepal is currently grappling with the devastating impacts of climate induced disasters, pushing communities into desperate rescue and relief operations. At a time when our priority must be saving lives and rebuilding livelihoods, pushing vulnerable nations further into climate debt is an injustice we cannot accept.

DBI stands in solidarity with the affected families and communities of Rasuwa and other districts.

Climate change is a crisis we did not create, yet we are forced to bear its heaviest tolls. We demand climate justice, not loans that deepen our burdens, but climate reparations and accountability from historical emitters.
