💡 Knowledge is the first step toward inclusion. 💡
This fiscal year, SHRUTI set out to spread awareness about hearing health, and we are proud to have successfully concluded our final sensitization program at National Creative Co-educational School NCCSand Secondary School
We are incredibly grateful to Prof. Audiologist Mr. Anil Adhikari and Asst. Prof. Shashi Ghimire for sharing their profound knowledge and facilitating such insightful sessions on hearing loss.
A special thank you to का.म.पा वडा नम्बर चार for believing us and giving us opportunity to work on hearing loss issues and providing the financial support and coordination needed to bring this program to life.
To the wonderful school teachers, management committee, volunteers, and staff: thank you for opening your doors and working alongside us to make this program a massive success. 🏫❤️

📢 Awareness Program on Hearing Loss and Inclusive Education Successfully Concluded! 🎓👂 का.म.पा वडा नम्बर चार

SHRUTI successfully concluded a series of awareness programs on hearing loss and inclusive education in government and private schools of Ward No. 4, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, with the generous financial support and coordination of Ward No. 4
The sessions were facilitated by Prof. Audiologist Anil Adhikari and Asst. Prof. Shashi Ghimire, whose insightful presentations provided valuable knowledge on hearing health, early identification of hearing loss, and the importance of timely intervention. The interactive discussions and feedback from teachers made the program particularly meaningful and productive.

During the program, SHRUTI shared practical guidance on:
✅ Identifying signs of hearing loss in the classroom
✅ Early intervention strategies for students with hearing loss
✅ Creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment
✅ Promoting meaningful participation of all learners
We extend our sincere gratitude to Ward No. 4, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, for their support and collaboration. We also thank the school management committees, principals, teachers, and dedicated volunteers whose contributions ensured the smooth and successful implementation of the program.

Today, SHRUTI successfully completed audiogram testing for children who were identified with hearing concerns during recent ear check-up camps at Bansbari Secondary School and Mahendra Rastriya School.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the audiologist and the School Management Committees of both schools for their valuable support in making this program a success. We are also deeply thankful to all the volunteers and staff members whose dedication and hard work made the activity smooth and effective.
This program was generously supported by Ward No. 4, and we deeply appreciate the valuable presence and observation of Ms. Saru Adhikari during the implementation of the program.
Together, we continue to strengthen early identification, intervention and timely support for children with hearing loss.

SHRUTI bids farewell to our outstanding Board Member, Ms. Fupu Sherpa. She joined SHRUTI in 2017 and has since demonstrated remarkable leadership and commitment to the Hard of Hearing movement, making meaningful contributions to our shared mission.
As she embarks on a new journey to the United States today, we will truly miss her valuable presence, dedication, and inspiring support within SHRUTI.
Despite her tight schedule, we were able to organize a small farewell program to express our appreciation and gratitude for her service. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed and participated in making this brief but meaningful program possible.
We wish Ms. Sherpa continued success and happiness in her new journey ahead. Šh Fùpú

आज यस संस्था श्रुतिले काठमाडौं महानगरपालिका वडा नं. ४ को सहयोगमा @श्री बासबारी माध्यमिक विद्यालयमा कान परीक्षण (Ear Screening) शिविर सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न गरेको छ।
यस कार्यक्रमलाई सफल बनाउन आफ्नो अमूल्य समय, विशेषज्ञता र पेशागत सहयोग प्रदान गर्नुहुने ENT सर्जन डा. रुपेश सापकोटा र डा. सिजन श्रेष्ठ प्रति हामी हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त गर्दछौं। साथै विद्यालय व्यवस्थापन समिति, शिक्षकहरू, विद्यार्थीहरू, स्वयंसेवकहरू र कर्मचारीहरूको सक्रिय सहयोग र समर्पणका लागि पनि हामी विशेष धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गर्दछौं, जसले कार्यक्रमलाई सहज र प्रभावकारी बनाउन महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेलेको छ।

सुस्त श्रवण भएका बालबालिकाहरूका लागि समावेशी शिक्षामा पहुँच प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने उद्देश्यले सञ्चालन गरिएको दुई महिने प्रशिक्षक प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम काठमाडौं महानगरपालिकाको आर्थिक सहयोग र समन्वयमा सफलतापूर्वक र सहज रूपमा सञ्चालन भइरहेको छ।

A two-month Trainer Training Program is being implementing smoothly under the initiative to promote access to inclusive education for children with hearing loss, with financial support and coordination from Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the monitoring visit of the Social Committee, President of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Mr. Mahesh Nepali, and Ward No. 4 local representative, Ms. Saru Adhikari, for their valuable time in observing the training. On 2 June, SHRUTI conducted ear assessment camp in Rastriya School, Baluwatar successfully with financial and coordination का.म.पा वडा नम्बर चार. also, removed some wax and feather of some birds which were making difficult for children. We would like to thank to all supporters to make this program successful.

Government provided sign language interpreter for Deaf community in live news. It is very good initiative. Now if they broadcast with live captioning for people who prefers spoken language like us hard of hearing it would be accessible for all persons with hearing loss.
Another, issue it seems news 24 doesn’t understand importance of sign language. Please find live video of it where it is hidden and given importance to advertise.Following BBC News NEWS24
