In a recent visit to Cox’s Bazar, our Deputy Regional Director met with students like Muslima & Asma from grade 9.

Since Rohingya refugees are not formally allowed to earn their own income, these schools rely entirely on continued funding to stay open and accessible.

This support from partners and donors is vital to ensure that thousands of children can stay in the classroom and build a better life for themselves and their families.

UNICEF is deeply saddened and alarmed by reports that children have been killed and injured in the recent escalation of hostilities between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

We call on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, protect civilian lives, and uphold their obligations under international humanitarian and human rights law. Children must be protected at all times.
