Orientation on Moral Education and Discipline

ROYM-Nepal, with the financial support of AEIN - Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal, successfully conducted an orientation session to the “Charange Farmers Group” on 6th May 2026, in coordination with Ward-5 of Netrawati Dabjong Rural Municipality. The orientation session was focused on “Moral Education and Discipline” with the theme “United Group, Civilized Society”.

A total of 15 participants enthusiastically attended the orientation, where awareness-based discussions were facilitated on the importance of discipline in strengthening and managing community groups effectively. The session also highlighted the role of moral education in building a civilized and responsible society, encouraging members to work collectively with mutual respect, unity, and positive social values.

Our Executive Director, Lubha Raj Neupane (Roym Nepal), along with NNSM Team Laxman Basnet, Som Lamichhane, Bijaya Rai Shrestha and Guest Prof.Shikha Silwal briefed about the position paper developed from National CSOs Consultation for safe, orderly and regular migration, and submitted as the outcome document to the Chief of Permanent Mission of Nepal to UN, H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa at the Nepal Mission Office New York.

Animal Shed Construction and Manure Management Training

ROYM-Nepal, with the financial support of AEIN - Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal, successfully conducted a three-day training on Animal Shed Construction and Manure Management under the Rupantaran Project in Ward No. 5 of Bhangaha Municipality, Mahottari, in coordination with Bhangaha Municipality. A total of 24 participants from two different groups actively participated in the training.

The training focused on promoting systematic and sustainable livestock farming practices through practical knowledge and skill development. Participants learned about cost-effective and sustainable animal shed construction using local resources, along with proper animal health, sanitation, and hygiene management practices. The sessions also covered scientific methods of manure collection, storage, compost preparation, and the use of organic fertilizers to improve soil fertility and increase agricultural production through environmentally friendly farming practices.

ROYM-Nepal, with the financial support of UN Women Nepal, organized a Provincial Level GEDSI SAP Strategic Plan Workshop to mainstream GEDSI in DRRM under the GRDPR. The workshop was held on 29th April 2026 at Birendranagar, Surkhet, Karnali Province. A total of 44 participants working in the DRRM and GEDSI sectors across the province participated in the event, reinforcing collective commitment to inclusive and gender-responsive disaster preparedness and response at the provincial level.

ROYM-Nepal ले UN Women को आर्थिक सहयोगमा GRDPR परियोजना अन्तर्गत विपद् जोखिम न्यूनीकरण तथा व्यवस्थापन (DRRM) मा लैङ्गिक समानता, अपाङ्गता तथा सामाजिक समावेशीकरण (GEDSI) लाई मूलप्रवाहीकरण गर्न प्रादेशिक स्तरको GEDSI SAP रणनीतिक योजना कार्यशाला आयोजना गर्यो । उक्त कार्यशाला 29th April 2026 मा वीरेन्द्रनगर, सुर्खेत, कर्णाली प्रदेशमा सम्पन्न भएको थियो। कार्यक्रममा प्रदेशभरि विपद् जोखिम न्यूनीकरण तथा व्यवस्थापन (DRRM) र लैङ्गिक समानता, अपाङ्गता तथा सामाजिक समावेशीकरण (GEDSI) क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत कुल 44 जना सहभागीहरूले सहभागिता जनाएका थिए, जसले समावेशी तथा लैङ्गिक उत्तरदायी विपद् पूर्वतयारी र प्रतिकार्यमा प्रदेशस्तरमै सामूहिक प्रतिबद्धता सशक्त बनाएको छ।

Our Executive Director, Lubha Raj Neupane (ROYM Nepal), delivered a written statement at the Main Stakeholders Consultation of the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) 2026 on 4th May 2026 at UN HQ, New York.

Representing the National Network for Safe Migration (NNSM), he called for enforceable bilateral labour agreements, social security portability, fair recruitment, and human rights-based reintegration - urging a shift from managing migration to protecting migrants as rights holders. He concluded saying “Nothing about us without us - grassroots voices from the Global South must lead this reform.”

ROYM-Nepal, in joint collaboration with National Youth Council Nepal, INSEC, Digital Rights Nepal, and Visible Impact, successfully organized the first-ever National Young Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) Conclave on 1st and 2nd May 2026. The two-day national workshop brought together young human rights defenders from across 70 districts of Nepal, became a powerful platform to discuss on issues such as human rights, climate justice, digital rights and safety, governance, and youth engagement in the development process.
