ROYM-Nepal has been continuously working on environmental protection since its establishment and mainstreams environmental concerns across all its programs and interventions. In solidarity with World Environment Day 2026, celebrated under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”, ROYM-Nepal reaffirms its strong commitment to environmental sustainability, climate action, and the preservation and promotion of local and indigenous practices that contribute to a greener, more resilient, and sustainable future.
On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, ROYM-Nepal, with financial support from AEIN - Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal, organized a series of environmental awareness and conservation activities across its project areas. In Brahampuri Rural Municipality-2, Sarlahi, an interaction and discussion program was conducted on climate change, its impacts, nature-based solutions, and the role of youth in environmental conservation. Similarly, environmental awareness and tree plantation activities were carried out in Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-4, Saptari, while a community clean-up campaign and waste management initiative, including the installation of dustbins, were organized in Katunje, Netravati Dabjong Rural Municipality-5, Dhading.
These initiatives reflected the collective commitment of local communities and stakeholders toward environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
