ROYM-Nepal is conducting a 30-day Beautician and Hairdresser Training for 24 young people including adolescent girls, in coordination with Bhangaha Municipality, Mahottari.

The training was inaugurated on September 3, 2026 by Ms. Rajkali Mahara, Ward Member of Bhangaha Municipality–5. The training focuses on practical skills in facial, makeup, hair cutting, styling, coloring, and hair care, with the aim of promoting self-employment, income generation, and livelihood empowerment.

ROYM-Nepal organized street dramas in 30 locations covering all wards of Parsa Rural Municipality (RM). The street dramas were designed to raise awareness among local communities about the harmful effects of chemical pesticide use on women’s health, as well as the growing impacts of climate change on women’s health and well-being.

Through relatable stories and local characters, the performances highlighted how women are often particularly vulnerable to these risks due to their roles in agriculture, household responsibilities, and care work.

The street dramas provided an interactive and engaging platform for community members on their local language to discuss these issues openly. They also encouraged women and families to adopt safer practices, reduce unnecessary exposure to chemical pesticides, and better understand the health risks associated with changing climate conditions.

ROYM-Nepal organized municipal-level and ward-level workshops to facilitate the preparation of the Local Adaptation Plan of Action (LAPA) and Community Adaptation Plan of Action (CAPA) for Parsa Rural Municipality Ward No. 3 and 4, Sarlahi.

The workshops brought together local stakeholders to identify climate-related risks, vulnerabilities, and community priorities, while promoting inclusive and participatory planning. These efforts aim to strengthen local climate resilience and ensure that adaptation actions reflect the needs and priorities of vulnerable communities.

The Bhotekoshi–Trishuli flood has brought immenhse hardship to families in Uttargaya Rural Municipality–5, Rasuwa. In this difficult time, ROYM-Nepal stands with the affected communities.

🤝 We provided essential medicines to Laharey Pauwa Health Post, Bogatitar, and a solar power backup system to the Ward Office to help keep essential services running during power disruptions.

Every small support matters. Together, we can bring hope, care, and strength to communities in need. 🙏❤️

Setu Rapid: a rescue and duty coordination system connecting responders, fleet and command in real time.

From 18th to 20th August 2026, ROYM-Nepal organized a three-day Entrepreneurship Development Training in Nilkantha Municipality–3, Dhading, for farmers interested in businesses. A total of 29 farmers from Netrawati Dabjong Rural Municipality and Nilkantha Municipality actively participated in the training.

The training aimed to develop entrepreneurial thinking and skills among the participants while enhancing their knowledge and capacity in business selection, business plan development, market identification, cost and pricing, financial management, risk management, and business sustainability.

The sessions were facilitated through group discussions, practical exercises, presentations, question-and-answer sessions, and interactive learning methods. The training is expected to have supported the participating farmers in developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to professionally pursue their agricultural and other potential business venture.
