Four days of relentless hands-on work went into building our DIY planetarium a labor of dedication, and watching it light up curiosity in every eye made it entirely worth it. โœจ This session was a true testament to what integrated astronomy education can achieve: reducing disciplinary egocentrism ,inducing wonder, and hands-on learning coming together as one. Deeply grateful to the school for trusting us with this platform, and to every participant whose promising curiosity reminded us why this work matters. DarkSky Nepal Chapter is established in 2024 to support the movement of the DarkSky International. DarkSky International restores the nighttime environment and protects communities from the harmful effects of light pollution through outreach, advocacy, and conservation.

It mainly focuses on outreach, education and research activities related to light pollution and identifying DarkSky Places in Nepal. The chapter is formed in order to create a common place for people who are in Nepal or abroad, love Nepal and support in our initiative to preserve our DarkSky and identifying DarkSky places in support of our initiative to promote the Astro-tourism in Nepal.

It is recollections of all our efforts in Nepal since 2007 strengthen our community efforts to create more awareness in this sector welcoming people from all backgrounds!
