Chhimeki Sanstha Nepal (CSN) organized a stakeholder meeting with concerned local government authorities and representatives from governmental offices. During the meeting, CSN’s progress report was presented and discussed, and valuable suggestions and feedback were gathered to enhance the effectiveness of program interventions in the coming days.
On this occasion, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Ward President and members of Wards No. 12, 14, 19, 20, 25, 27, and 32 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), as well as to the representatives from the Family Welfare Division, Department of Health Services – Nutrition Section, and the Social Development Division of KMC for their active participation and meaningful contributions to the meeting.

Chhimeki Sanstha Nepal has conducted a beauty parlour training program for 20 women and adult girls.

The training aims to equip participants with essential skills in the beauty industry, enabling them to pursue this profession as a steady source of income.

The ultimate goal of this skills development initiative is to empower women by facilitating their involvement in sustainable earning opportunities.

Certificate Distribution Ceremony:
Mr. Suman Shrestha, President of Ward No. 14, KMC, acted as the chief guest and presented training completion certificates to 10 community women. These women have successfully completed a 9-month tailoring training program consisting of three stages: Basic-level (3 months), Advance-level (3 months), and Apprenticeship (3 months). The training was organized by Chhimeki Sanstha Nepal, with financial support from Stiftung 100, Germany.

On this occasion, Chhimeki Sanstha Nepal expresses heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest for his valuable time and cooperation. Additionally, the organization extends congratulations to all successful trainees and best wishes for their future endeavors in the profession.

Chhimeki Sanstha Nepal (CSN) successfully conducted its 19th Annual General Meeting on September 23, 2023. A total of 211 general members actively participated in the meeting. During this event, a new executive board consisting of 9 members, including the President, was elected to serve a two-year term.

"Due to the fact that I have a two-and-a-half-year-old son, I used to stay at home to take care of him.

Because of my friends, I was aware of the Chhimeki childcare centre. Thanks to that now I'm working at a handbag factory as well as cleaning another house. Now monthly I earn 12500 rupees, which allows me to comfortably cover household expenses.

After having my son at CSN CCC I can fully concentrate on work without any stress. The CCC services have helped increase my son's weight. My child's health status and general behaviour are improving. The support of this CCC service has improved my life.

Anaemia is considered as a public health problem in Nepal. According to Nepal Demographic and Health Survey, 2022, 33% of pregnant women are suffering from Anaemia. The impact of Anemia during pregnancy could be the possibility of preterm delivery and a low birth weight baby. In order to address this situation, CSN has formed pregnant women groups, and been conducting orientation to them on nutrition and health. Furthermore, the aim of the orientation is to make aware of Nepal Government’s protocol and ease the link with health facilities where pregnant women would able to get appropriate services so that it helps to reduce maternal and child mortality rates.

Ms. Heera Devi Pokhrel inaugurated the training on 16th April 2023 as the chief guest and member of KMC-32. On 2nd April 2023, Chhimeki Sanstha Nepal organized a Social Audit program with the objective of sharing, reporting, and evaluating the results of the 2022 program. As part of this event, we also ensured transparency and accountability to improve the social and ethical performance of the organization.
