टोखा नगरपालिकाको आर्थिक बर्ष २०८३/२०८४ को निति ,कार्यक्रम तथा बजेटतर्जुमाको लागि सल्लाहसुझाब संकलन कार्यक्रममा विश्वास नेपालको सभागिता तथा सुझाब पेस गरियो ,जसमा मनोरंजन तथा सत्कार सेवा छेत्रका श्रमिकहरुले श्रम एन अनुसार सेवा र सुबिधा बाट बन्चित र अनुगमन गर्नु पर्ने बिसय उठान र बालश्रम न्युनिकरणको काममा जोड दिनुपर्ने सुझाब पेस गरियो |

On 17th May 2026, Tokha Municipality organized a program to collect suggestions for the formulation of policies, programs, and the budget for Fiscal Year 2083/2084. Biswas Nepal participated in the program and submitted recommendations. The suggestions highlighted that workers in the entertainment and hospitality service sector are being deprived of the services and facilities guaranteed under the Labor Act, emphasizing the need for effective monitoring and enforcement. The recommendations also stressed the importance of strengthening efforts to reduce child labor.

टोखा नगरपालिका वार्ड ८ र वार्ड न ११ मा विश्वास नेपालको सहयोग र नगरपालिका तथा सम्बन्धित वडा कार्यालयको समन्वय र सहकार्यमा बालभेला सम्पना भयको छ यो भेलाबाट बालबालिकाको बिषयमा गर्नुपर्ने कामको प्राथमिकीकरण गरेर आगामी योजनामा सम्बोधन गर्नको लागी बालक्लबले वडालाइ आग्रह गरेको छ .-
With the support of Biswas Nepal and in coordination and collaboration with Tokha Municipality and the respective ward offices, Bal Bhela programs were successfully conducted in Ward No. 8 on 17 May and Ward No. 11 on 15 May 2026 in Tokha.

Through these assemblies, children identified and prioritized the key issues and activities that need to be addressed for their well-being and development. The child clubs also urged the respective ward offices to incorporate these priorities into upcoming plans and programs.

आज गृहमन्त्रालय र श्रम, रोजगार तथा सामाजिक सुरक्षा मन्त्रालयमा मनोरन्जन तथा सत्कार सेवा क्षेत्रको हालको अवस्बाथा बारेमा जानकारी दिनुका साथै दुवै मन्त्रालयम़ा पत्र हस्तान्तरण गरियो। आशा छ यस क्षेत्रमा पनि श्रम ऐन कार्यान्वयन हुन्छ र कामको सम्मान हुन्छ।
Today(13th April 2026) we submitted memorandums to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, informing them about the current situation of the entertainment and hospitality service sector. We hope that the Labor Act will also be effectively implemented in this sector, ensuring dignity, rights, and respect for workers and their work.

After a successful monitoring visit in the Sundhara area, Biswas Nepal organized an Entertainment and hospitality Sectors Monitoring Review and Interaction Program with concerned stakeholders, with the support of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 11.

The program focused on strengthening coordination, promoting accountability, and discussing key issues related to the entertainment and hospitality sector to ensure dignified work, prevent exploitation, and encourage responsible participation from all stakeholders. 🤝✨

On 6 May 2026, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Luxembourg conducted a follow-up evaluation visit to Biswas Nepal, based on the recommendations from their previous evaluation visit in April 2024.

The visit focused on reviewing the progress and impact of the APSARA Project, which works to reduce the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the adult entertainment sector in Kathmandu, Nepal.

We sincerely thank MOFA Luxembourg for their continued support and commitment toward protecting vulnerable children and adolescents.

We are actively engaging in lobbying and advocacy with the government to ensure regular monitoring and to push for strict action against those who do not comply with the Labor Act, especially in the entertainment and hospitality sectors. No more child labor.
