As part of our ongoing YALC activities, Pramika B.K. and Suraj Sapkota facilitated an engaging session at Phulchoki School on 14 July 2026.

Through interactive discussions and activities, students explored intersectionality, gender, equality, and equity, while reflecting on how identities and climate impacts are connected. The session also highlighted the importance of creating inclusive spaces and ensuring that climate action addresses the needs of everyone

On 10th June ,2026 , Sw****ka Karki ,Jivan Uphadhya -YALC 2026 & Rahimat -General Member of YUWA conducted a School Session -IV for 44 students of Grade-8 ,Pashupati Mitra Ma Vi, Mitra park - Kathmandu
Session IV focused on ;
- Reflection of session I-III
- ⁠climate change ,causes of climate Change, Impact of Climate Change

Sessions was delivered by Energizer: Charades Activity .
Charades Cards were of words related to climate change like Rising Temperatures, Air Pollution. Students were divided into numerous groups and team led were selected from each group. After randomly picking the charades cards team led acted the word without speaking and team members were supposed to guess it write within 1 minutes.
After ever cards students explained how that term ( written in card) has effected their life and community.

It was very fun activity making meaningful participation from students. Students enjoyed learning by doing Fun Activitiy .

7th June 2026, celebrating World Environment Day with youths from diverse fields 🌿
YALC members of YUWA facilitated an interactive workshop with young brilliant minds. It started with a drama based on environment and how it connects with SRHR, totally self imagined and presented by the participants themselves which was honestly one of the best parts of the day.
This was followed by a solution based activity where participants discussed topics like SRHR and Climate Justice, Biodiversity and Forest, Air Pollution and Urban Environment, and Climate and Youth. They came up with real solutions, whether its through advocacy or pushing for policy level reforms, and reminded us that youth have a role to play at every level.
And then we ended with a commitment session where everyone pledged to give back to our mother nature by committing to something they truly believe in as responsible nature caregivers 🌳
Small steps, but when we take them together, it matters 💚

On 3rd June ,2026 , Sw****ka Karki , Manisha Shrestha,Satyendra Shah-YALC 2026 , conducted a School Session on “CLIMATE CHANGE :CAUSE ,IMPACT AND CONSEQUENCES “ for Grade-8 students of Pashupati Mitra Ma Vi, Mitra park - Kathmandu
Session III focused on ;
-Introduction to climate change
-Causes of Climate Change
-Impact of Climate Change.

Sessions was delivered using various sessions tools like ,group discussion, Posters , videos , real story of Impacts of Climate Change and other as per the toolkit, etc.

The session with 50 Participants turned out to be very engaging as climate change causes , impact and consequences helped in understanding of student regarding climate change.
