NMSS is an internationally recognized, non-profit making, non-political and purely professional organization of medical students of Nepal. It is guided in its action by two main principles student welfare and social service. Since its establishment in 1985, NMSS has not only played an important role in uplifting academic environment but also conducted various activities like blood donation, rural health camps, student exchange, cultural programs and celebration of various international days. Our mandate, as we describe it, is to work for overall development of the medical students and young doctors so that they can work as responsible health professional in near future.

Effective Date: 2 August 2026

The 37th Executive Board (EB) of the Nepal Medical Students' Society (NMSS), under the presidency of Dr. Raj Shah, is hereby formally dissolved with immediate effect, effective from 2 August 2026.

Consequently, the mandates of all Local Medical Organization (LMO) Executive Boards operating under the 37th NMSS Executive Board are also hereby dissolved with immediate effect. All positions and authorities held under the current Executive Board and its affiliated LMOs shall cease to have effect from the above date.

The process for appointing the Election Officer will be initiated shortly, who will oversee and conduct the election process for the formation of the next Executive Board in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of NMSS.

Further information regarding the Election Officer appointment, election timeline, and subsequent procedures will be communicated through official NMSS channels.

We sincerely thank all members of the 37th Executive Board and the respective LMO Executive Boards for their dedication, commitment, and service during their tenure.
