YUWA YUWA is a not-for-profit, purely youth-run, and youth-led organization officially registered in 2009. Empowering Youth, Strengthening Involvement

YUWA is a collaborative local action to global issues of our concerns. The word “YUWA” has its root in the Nepali language referring youth. True to its meaning, its executive body of decision makers include youths between the age-group of 16 to 27 only. Since its formal establishment, YUWA has concentrated upon the holistic youth issues and is especially working in 3 thematic units namely Active C

itizenship, SRHR and a cross-cutting Research Unit. With its strong networking, good leadership and youth friendly environment, YUWA has provided a platform for youth to explore themselves and to discuss and act on global and local issues.

Art is Power 2026 showcased youth expression through color and creativity in a non-confrontational way.

The event featured diverse performances, including Deuda and Charya Nritya, poetry, live art, face painting, and over 50 interactive artworks. Young participants addressed key issues like climate justice, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health rights, and child marriage.

Overall, the event provided an inclusive platform for creativity, celebrating diverse voices and inspiring youth to take action toward a sustainable future.

On 18th March 2026, under the campaign, YUWA, in collaboration with conducted a Gaming Website & Social Media Content Review Workshop.

YALC members, staff, interns, and participants came together to explore how to effectively use the gaming website, from creating quizzes to hosting them in sessions. The workshop also covered the basics of social media content creation, including designing posts, writing captions, and sharing impactful content online.

An interactive and insightful session empowering young people with digital and creative skills!

On 24th February, YUWA, in collaboration with Plan International Nepal organized an Activism Workshop on Climate and Gender Justice
The theme was the effects of climate change on q***rness and people with disabilities.

This workshop turned canvas and acrylic into powerful stories from our participants, where q***r and persons with disabilities shared how climate change shapes their realities. More than art, it became a platform to be seen, heard, and felt.
