Introduction
Saar Nepal is an organization founded by committed Nepalese citizens drawn from development workers, social workers, youth activists and other varied professional background with the common interest on addressing the issues of elderly citizens. Saar Nepal initiates exclusively to work for the rights and protection of elderly. It is an initiative towards the path of overall developmen

t of elders for their successful ageing. Saar Nepal is a not-for-profit organization registered with the Government of Nepal (Registration Number: 883). The organization is also affiliated to Social Welfare Council (Affiliation number: 36954). We aim to raise the voice the needs of Nepal's 8.34% (2011 Census) elderly population, and directly impact the lives of elders through our services. We advocate with national & local government and other stakeholders to bring about policy that addresses elderly. We make society aware of the concerns and issues of the aged and promote better understanding of ageing issues. We aware elderly of their own rights so that they achieve their rights and are able to play a productive and contributing citizens role to the society. We raise awareness on addressing elderly issues through multiple approaches and strategies. Vision:
We envision a just society for elderly people. Mission:
Our mission is to uplift, empower and improve the quality of life of elderly as they age. Objectives of Saar Nepal:
• To create awareness on ageing and related issues.
• To advocate on the rights and protection of elderly citizens.
• To support elderly citizens through alternative services.
• To facilitate and collaborate with various stakeholders in addressing issues of elderly citizens.
• To promote and provide quality of life and health care needs of elderly citizens.
• To promote and enhance socio-spiritual participation of elderly citizens.

‘हिमालयन इन्टरनेशनल स्ट्रोक शिखर सम्मेलन’-२०२५ सम्पन्न हुँदै

नेपालमा पहिलोपटक हिमालयन इन्टरनेशनल स्ट्रोक समीट आयोजना हुने भएको छ । नेपाल पक्षघात संघले नेपाल स्ट्रोक प्रोजेक्टसँगको सहकार्यमा साउन ३१ गतेबाट सम्मेलनको आयोजना गर्न लागेको हो । भदौ १ गतेसम्म चल्ने सम्मेलनमा नेपालसहित ११ वटा देशका विज्ञहरुले प्रस्तुति दिने नेपाल पक्षघात संघका अध्यक्ष एवम् वरिष्ठ न्यूरोलोजिष्ट डा. राजु पौडेलले जानकारी दिनुभएको छ। स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसंख्या मन्त्री प्रदीप पौडेलले उद्घाटन गर्ने सम्मेलनको पहिलो दिनको वैज्ञानिक सत्रमा २८ जना अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय र ३२ जना राष्ट्रिय विज्ञहरुले प्रस्तुति दिनुहुनेछ ‘जसमा क्लिनिकल प्रगति, अनुसन्धान अद्यावधिक तथा नीतिगत
दिशा – निर्देशनलगायतका कुराहरु समेटिनेछन्,’

त्यस्तै, दोस्रो दिन भने सीपमा आधारित तालिम तथा कार्यशालाहरू हुने जनाइएको छ । जसमा एनआइएच स्ट्रोक स्केल (एनआइएचएसएस) स्ट्रोक अनुसन्धान विधि, थ्रोम्बोलाइसिस, मेकानिकल थ्रोम्बेक्टोमी, बोटोक्स थेरापीका साथै मौखिक र पोस्टरको प्रस्तुतिकरण हुने प्रस्तुतिसमेत हुनेछन् ।

सम्मेलनमा सहभागी हुन डब्लूएसओका अध्यक्ष डा जयराज पाण्डियन, निवर्तमान अध्यक्ष प्राध्यापक क्रेग एन्डर्सन, , युरोपियन स्ट्रोक अर्गनाइजेसनका प्राध्यापक भालेरिया कासो, न्यूजिल्याण्डकी प्राध्यापक अन्ना रान्टा, एपीएसओका पूर्व अध्यक्ष प्राध्यापक ब्युन्ह वु युन नेपाल आउँदै हुनुहुन्छ ।

It was our utmost pleasure to organize an Orientation & Interaction program for the B.Sc Nursing 1st Year students of B&B Medical Institute led by Nisha Maharjan, (Assistant Campus Chief), Anupa Ojha, (Assistant Professor) & Soni Shrestha (Assistant Professor).
CEO Aarati Poudel & Director of Nursing Puja Mainali lead the sessions,after which the students interacted with the residents to enrich their horizon of knowledge and depth of experience.
