Good News Coming In!

The Nepal Full Contact Karate Federation is likely to organize the National Full Contact Karate Championship 2026 (B.S. 2083) in Jestha 2083.

The championship is expected to bring together talented karate athletes from across Nepal, creating an important national platform to promote full contact karate, discipline, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence. आजको आधुनिक समयमा खेल केवल मनोरञ्जनको माध्यम मात्र नभई अनुशासन, आत्मविश्वास, स्वास्थ्य र चरित्र निर्माणको आधार पनि बनेको छ। तीमध्ये विश्वभर लोकप्रिय हुँदै गएको एक शक्तिशाली मार्सल आर्ट हो Kyokushin Karate। नेपालमा पनि पछिल्लो समय क्योकुशिन करातेप्रति युवाहरूको आकर्षण बढ्दै गएको छ। तर अझै पनि धेरै मानिसहरूले “क्योकुशिन कराते वास्तवमा के हो ?”, “यो कस्तो खेल हो ?” भन्ने कुरा पूर्ण रूपमा बुझ्न सकेका छैनन्।

क्योकुशिन कराते के हो ?

क्योकुशिन कराते जापानबाट सुरु भएको “फुल कन्ट्याक्ट कराते” हो। यसमा वास्तविक शक्ति, सहनशीलता, अनुशासन र मानसिक दृढतालाई विशेष महत्त्व दिइन्छ। “क्योकुशिन” शब्दको अर्थ हुन्छ — “अन्तिम सत्य” (Ultimate Truth)।

यो कराते शैली केवल लडाइँ सिकाउने माध्यम होइन, यो आत्मनियन्त्रण, सम्मान, धैर्यता र जीवन दर्शन सिकाउने कला पनि हो। क्योकुशिन कराते अभ्यास गर्ने विद्यार्थीलाई शारीरिक रूपमा मात्र होइन मानसिक रूपमा पनि बलियो बनाइन्छ।

क्योकुशिन करातेको इतिहास

क्योकुशिन करातेका संस्थापक थिए Masutatsu Oyama, जसलाई संसारभर “सोसाई ओयामा” भनेर सम्मान गरिन्छ। उहाँले सन् १९५० को दशकमा जापानमा यस कराते शैलीको स्थापना गर्नुभएको थियो।

ओयामाले करातेलाई केवल प्रदर्शनमा सीमित नराखी वास्तविक लडाइँमा उपयोगी बनाउन चाहनुहुन्थ्यो। त्यसैले उहाँले कठोर प्रशिक्षण प्रणाली विकास गर्नुभयो, जहाँ शारीरिक सहनशीलता, मानसिक दृढता र वास्तविक फाइटिङ क्षमतामा जोड दिइन्थ्यो।

क्योकुशिन करातेको प्रसिद्धि विश्वभर फैलिनुको मुख्य कारण यसको वास्तविकता र कठिन प्रशिक्षण प्रणाली हो। आज यो खेल विश्वका सयौँ देशहरूमा अभ्यास गरिन्छ।

क्योकुशिन कराते किन विशेष छ ?

अन्य धेरै कराते शैलीहरूमा “टच” वा हल्का सम्पर्कमा आधारित प्रतियोगिता हुने गर्दछ। तर क्योकुशिन करातेमा वास्तविक शक्ति र फुल कन्ट्याक्ट प्रयोग गरिन्छ।

यस खेलका केही मुख्य विशेषताहरू:

* आत्मरक्षा सीप
* अनुशासन र सम्मानको शिक्षा
* मानसिक दृढता र आत्मविश्वास वृद्धि

क्योकुशिन करातेले खेलाडीलाई केवल प्रतिस्पर्धी मात्र होइन, जिम्मेवार र अनुशासित नागरिक बन्न प्रेरित गर्छ।

नेपालमा क्योकुशिन कराते

नेपालमा पनि क्योकुशिन कराते विस्तार हुँदै गएको छ। विभिन्न डोजोहरू स्थापना भइरहेका छन् र बालबालिका तथा युवाहरू यस खेलतर्फ आकर्षित भइरहेका छन्। राष्ट्रिय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय प्रतियोगिताहरूमा नेपाली खेलाडीहरूले राम्रो प्रदर्शन गर्दै देशको नाम समेत चिनाइरहेका छन्।

विशेषगरी बालबालिकाका लागि क्योकुशिन कराते अत्यन्त उपयोगी मानिन्छ। यसले उनीहरूमा अनुशासन, आत्मविश्वास, ध्यान केन्द्रित गर्ने क्षमता र सकारात्मक सोचको विकास गर्छ। आजको डिजिटल युगमा मोबाइल र इन्टरनेटमा अत्यधिक समय बिताइरहेका युवाहरूलाई स्वस्थ र सक्रिय जीवनतर्फ लैजान यो खेल प्रभावकारी माध्यम बन्न सक्छ।

क्योकुशिन कराते केवल फाइट होइन

धेरै मानिसहरूले मार्सल आर्ट भनेपछि केवल झगडा वा हिंसात्मक खेल भनेर बुझ्ने गर्छन्। तर वास्तविकता त्यस्तो होइन। क्योकुशिन करातेले “शक्ति सँगै संयम” सिकाउँछ।

यस खेलको मूल दर्शन हो:
“आफूलाई जित्नु नै सबैभन्दा ठूलो विजय हो।”

त्यसैले क्योकुशिन करातेले खेलाडीलाई विनम्र, अनुशासित र आत्मनियन्त्रित बन्न सिकाउँछ।

क्योकुशिन कराते केवल खेल होइन, यो जीवन जिउने कला हो। यसले शरीरलाई बलियो, मनलाई स्थिर र चरित्रलाई अनुशासित बनाउँछ। नेपालमा यसको सही प्रचार–प्रसार गर्न सके युवापुस्तालाई सकारात्मक दिशातर्फ प्रेरित गर्न ठूलो भूमिका खेल्न सक्छ।

आज आवश्यक कुरा भनेको क्योकुशिन करातेलाई केवल फाइटिङ खेलको रूपमा नभई स्वास्थ्य, अनुशासन, आत्मरक्षा र व्यक्तित्व विकासको माध्यमको रूपमा समाजमा चिनाउनु हो।

A new sub-dojo of the Nepal Kyokushin Kaikan Sonoda Karate Association was officially inaugurated during a special ceremony held at Madan Smarak Secondary School in Patan, Lalitpur, on Tuesday.

The event also featured a vibrant karate demonstration program where young athletes showcased various self-defense techniques, discipline, and martial arts skills. The performances drew appreciation from guests, parents, and spectators present at the ceremony.

Speaking at the program, organizers emphasized the importance of sports in promoting physical fitness, discipline, and positive youth development, adding that the newly established sub-dojo would help encourage greater participation in martial arts training within the community.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by karate instructors, students, local representatives, and invited guests, marking another step forward in the promotion of Kyokushin karate in Nepal.

Today marks 5 years in his memory.

Kyokushin Karate Nepal pays heartfelt tribute to a true pioneer of Kyokushin and full contact karate in Nepal. Shihan Ramji Prasad Bajracharya dedicated his life to the growth of martial arts, shaping generations through discipline, strength, and unwavering commitment.

From building the foundation in the early days to representing Nepal on international stages, his journey continues to inspire the entire martial arts community. He remained devoted to Kyokushin and full contact karate until the very end of his life, continuing to guide and train students with the same passion and spirit.

His legacy stands strong through the values and dedication he instilled in countless practitioners.

Sosai Mas Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin Karate, dedicated his life to establishing a path of true martial spirit one built on discipline, full-contact realism, and the pursuit of ultimate truth.

He showed the world that karate is not just technique, but a way of life forged through hardship, training, and unwavering determination. His teachings continue to shape generations of practitioners across the globe, including here in Nepal.

The Charghare Full Contact Kyokushin Karate Foundation (IKF) Tournament, held in Godawari, Lalitpur, concluded successfully with great enthusiasm.

The event was organized under the chief guestship of Gajendra Maharjan, Mayor of Godawari Municipality, and special guest Shekhar Nyaupane. Players from various weight categories showcased their skills and talent throughout the competition.

The tournament saw active and encouraging participation from both male and female athletes.
