☸️ Parinirvana of Tertön Mingyur Dorje (1645-1667): An emanation of Shüpu Palgyi Sengé, one of the ministers sent by King Trisong Detsen to invite Padmasambhava to Tibet, he is revered as the revealer of the Namchö (གནམ་ཆོས།, "Sky Dharma") cycle of termas (གཏེར་མ།, hidden treasures). Working closely with his root teacher Karma Chagmé (ཀརྨ་ཆགས་མེད།), he received these pure-vision revelations — transmissions from Samantabhadra, Avalokiteshvara, and Padmasambhava himself — and had them written down, filling thirteen volumes. Though he left this world at only 22 years of age, on this very day he dissolved into the sphere of truth, remaining in meditation for three days.

Buddha revealed the Kalachakra Ta**ra • Buddha Amitābha Day • Vesak

☸️ Buddha Amitābha Day: 15th day of the lunar month. Full Moon 🌕. Effects of all actions are multiplied 100 times and practice is emphasized. Protection of life is stressed. Confession by the Sangha (གསོ་སྦྱོང་ Sojong).

☸️ Vesak: Vesak is one of the most important Buddhist festival, taking place at the full moon (15th day) of 3rd lunar month and commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and death of the Shakyamuni Buddha (according the general Tibetan calendar!)

According to the ancient Tsurphu calendar, which we also use, Buddha Sakyamuni 's Birthday is Kutampa (7th day of the 4th lunar month). The day of the Buddha Sakyamuni's Enlightenment and death is the Saga Dawa Duchen (15th day of the 4th month) - the most sacred day for Buddhist.

☸️ Guru Rinpoche Day: Guru Pemajungne: Guru Rinpoche is sentenced to be burned at the stake by the king of Zahor for teaching his daughter Mandarava and 500 nuns in their nunnery, but he transforms the flames into a lake and converts the King. He then goes with Mandarava to the Maratika Cave where they practice and reach immortality. He is known as Guru Pemajungne, The Lotus Born. As on all Guru Rinpoche days, Chakrasamvara and Yidam offering day of Tsok offerings and celebration. Extra offerings are made and increased attention is given to what is happening.

☸️ Parinirvana of the 3rd Jamgön Kongtrul, Lodrö Chökyi Senge (1992): The reincarnation of Khyentsé Özer, was born on October 1, 1954. Following the occupation of Tibet, he fled to India in 1959 and was raised at Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim under the guidance of Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, the 16th Karmapa — who later recognized and enthroned him as the incarnation of the previous Jamgön Kongtrül at the age of six. A true heart-son (thugs sras) of the Karmapa, he studied, contemplated, and meditated diligently in accordance with the lineage's teachings, becoming to the Karmapa what Ānanda was to the Buddha. Throughout his life, he gave novice and lay vows to students from many countries, established several monasteries, and initiated plans for a nursing home and health clinic in Nepal. Tragically, on April 26, 1992 — near his own monastery and the boarding school he had founded for young monks and orphans — his life was cut short at the age of 37 in a car accident in the Darjeeling district of India.
