Shenpen Nepal We are a non-profit organization that helps the poor and disadvantaged in Nepal. We aim to benefit as many people as possible with the resources available.

Rangjung Yeshe Shenpen is a non-profit organization established to alleviate poverty and to address social challenges, mainly in Nepal. Founded in 2004 by Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche and working under his regular direction, Shenpen focuses on helping the poor and disadvantaged gain access to health care, education and employment opportunities. We offer support to the elderly and street children, and wor

ks to improve the treatment of animals. Based in Boudhanath, Nepal, Shenpen provides technical and financial support to trusted organizations with strong track records that work directly with poor communities. Shenpen also helps strengthen these organizations so they are better able to meet their long-term objectives. Shenpen uses the skills and resources of its volunteer members and associates to identify where services are most needed. We also have a strict policy of keeping our overhead at a bare minimum. Since its inception Shenpen has sponsored over 100 projects across Nepal.

Shenpen visited Shree Bhagwati Basic School in Jajarkot, where we had built temporary classrooms after the earthquake in 2023 A.D. During our visit, we distributed essential stationery items and sports materials such as badminton sets, volleyballs, and skipping ropes to 195 students, helping them continue their education with renewed encouragement and joy.

In addition, we extended our support to the residents of Neptey Puja by providing warm clothes to help them stay protected during the winter season.

Shenpen extended support to the Badi Sarokar Manch by providing nutritious food as per their request, helping to promote better health and well-being.

Additionally, Shenpen supported the Badi community in Surkhet by constructing a dedicated boys’ hostel building, which was completed in September 2025. During our recent visit, we were pleased to see that the hostel is fully in use, with around fifty boys residing there, providing a safe and supportive space for the children.

Today, Shenpen sponsored a heartwarming lunch for 215 residents of the Manav Sewa Aashram in Raniban. The Manav Sewa Aashram is a solely non-profit organization dedicated to making Nepal a 'street people free country' by helping the most vulnerable, impoverished, disabled, homeless, physically weak or mentally or psychologically challenged people who are forced to live miserable lives in the open sky street-banks and public places.

Shenpen is very happy to be able to provide this support at the Aashram, and we aspire that we can do more in the future to contribute to this cause.

With winter setting in, Shenpen distributed warm clothes to the local residents of Dhorpatan, as well as to the students of Dhorpatan Believers English School. Dhorpatan is located in a high‑altitude valley in western Nepal, where winter temperatures drop significantly. Most of the warm and clean clothes were collected at Ka‑Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who generously donated and helped bring warmth and comfort to the community. On the auspicious occasion of Lhabab Düchen, commemorating the Buddha’s descent from heaven to earth, Shenpen Nepal, in collaboration with Shenpen Malaysia, provided 500 sacks of rice along with cash assistance to 500 individuals in need, and distributed rice, lentils, salt, and other essential food items to an additional 300 individuals at the Thousand Buddha Temple in Lumbini. Each person also received blessings from H.E. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, who expressed his wish for such activities to continue in the future.
