This project aims to bridge the gap in climate literacy, providing youth with engaging visual tools and equipping teachers with ready-to-use multimedia resources. Ultimately, these videos will be integrated into CEHRDโ€™s official Sikai Chautari online learning platform for nationwide reach.

From the buzzing of our gardens and fields to the forests and high mountains, we at WCN are celebrating the incredible diversity of Nepal's pollinators. Our nation isn't just home to hardworking bees; it's home to the worldโ€™s largest honey beeโ€”the magnificent Himalayan Giant Honey Bee (Apis laboriosa)!

Alongside this giant, our landscapes thrive thanks to the Asian honey bee (Apis cerana) and the Red dwarf honey bee (Apis florea), but their survival faces challenges.

That's why WCN is dedicated to:
*Supporting local honey bee keepers across Nepal.
* Spreading awareness about pollinators among children and the public.

Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN) is building stronger capacity for sustainable and circular practices across Nepal. Under the "Roots of Circularity" project, which is funded by the European Union, WCN successfully hosted a full-day training on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks for CSOs to work better with thier stakeholders and target groups.

The program, held at the Aranya Boutique Hotel, brought together founding members of the Green Alliance Nepal along with representatives from NGO Federation of Nepal and project implementing teams. Led by facilitators Mr. Sushil Kumar Karki and Ms. Kamana Jha, participants learned about IFC Performance Standards, environmental safeguards, and ESG risk assessment.

From hands-on risk exercises to strategic discussions on integrating ESG into institutional policies and practices, participants are now better equipped to drive climate-conscious actions. Together, we are bridging gaps in local sustainability and preparing organizations for green financing opportunities.

How do we move from "take-make-waste" to a regenerative future? We rethink the system!

WCN participated in the Roots of Circularity (RoC) Masterclasses on Circular Economy and Mindset, held at Impact Hub Kathmandu for the Bagmati Cohort 3. The session challenged traditional models, introducing participants to the butterfly diagram and restorative business strategies.

We are excited to see these entrepreneurs shift toward future-focused thinking. To support this journey, our Circular Economy Toolkit is now available on our website in both English and Nepali, a practical resource for anyone ready to integrate circular design.

The RoC Project is funded by the European Union and led by the Impact Hub Association, in collaboration with Impact Hub Kathmandu and Wildlife Conservation Nepal.

Wildlife Conservation Nepal has contributed to strengthening sustainable and climate-responsive education in Nepal through the design and facilitation of capacity-building programs for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

As part of the Quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Youth (QualiTY) Project, the WCN expert team supported a 5-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Eco-Efficient Practices in TVET Institutions. The training focused on enhancing institutional capacity to integrate eco-efficient approaches, resource management, climate resilience, and environmentally sustainable practices within TVET systems. It aimed to equip trainers and education stakeholders with practical knowledge and tools to support green skills development, sustainable campus management, and climate-sensitive institutional planning.

In addition, WCN has been supporting facilitation of 3-day Training on Eco-Efficient and Climate-Smart TVET Schools organized by the Ministry of Social Development, Bagmati Province, with support from the QualiTY Project, in different provinces. These sessions engaged educators, school leaders, and technical education stakeholders in participatory learning on climate-smart education, green school standards, energy and waste management, circular economy, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable institutional practices along with behavioral change.

Through these initiatives, Wildlife Conservation Nepal has supported ongoing efforts to strengthen environmentally responsible and climate-resilient TVET education in Nepal, while contributing to building the capacity of institutions and educators to integrate sustainability principles into teaching, learning, and school operations.
