This is the letter on behalf of the 104 members of Sertshang family. On this beautiful and special day, we come together with the hearts full of love gratitude, and joy to wish our dearest brother the happiest birthday. Today is not just a birthday—it is a day to honor the person who has been the foundation of our lives. it is the celebration of the light, guidance, and unconditional care you have given to each one of us.
We truly do not have enough words to express what you mean to us. No matter how much we say, it will never fully capture the depth of our gratitude and love. But we hope you can feel the depth of our love and appreciation through this message.
Tulku Dai, you are the reason we stand here as the people we are today. You didn’t just raise us—you shaped us, guided us, and protected us every single step of the way. From our childhood to adulthood, you carried responsibilities that were never easy, yet you never once let us feel the weight of your sacrifices. Instead, you gave us comfort, safety, and warmth.
Brother, you are not just a brother to us. You are our past, our present, and our future. You are the memories of our childhood, the strength of our present, and the hope of our tomorrow. When we were weak, you were our strength. When we were lost, you showed us the way. When we doubted ourselves, you believed in us more than anyone else ever could.
Our mother gave us life, but you gave that life meaning. You filled it with love, opportunity, and purpose. To the world, you are a respected teacher, a spiritual leader, and a Rinpoche. But to us, you are the gentle hand that held us when we were scared, the voice that reassured us when we cried, and the heart that never stopped caring for us.
Your love is the most selfless love we have ever known. You never hesitate to give—whether it is money, food, time, or even your own comfort. You think of others before yourself. You have given us everything we needed and even the things we never dared to ask for. A good education, a secure life, a loving family—you made sure we never lacked anything.
But more than material things, you gave us something far more precious. You gave us your trust. You believed in us without doubt. You allowed us to dream freely, to choose our own paths, even when our choices were uncertain or childish. You never laughed at our dreams—you encouraged them. You lifted us when we fell. You celebrated our smallest achievements as if they were the greatest victories in the world.
We know that behind our smiles and successes are your sacrifices—your sleepless nights, your silent worries, your endless prayers for us. You carried burdens so we could walk freely. You endured hardships so we could live comfortably. Everything we are and everything we achieve will always carry a part of you within it.
We are truly, deeply blessed to call youChogyal Rinpochehere is no way we can ever repay you for your love, your time, and your sacrifices. But please know this—our hearts are forever grateful.
On your birthday, we pray with all our hearts that you are blessed with a very long life, strong health, and endless happiness. May the joy you have given us return to you a thousand times more. May you always feel the same warmth and love that you have surrounded us with since childhood.
Thank you for being our light, our guide, our protector, and our greatest blessing.
Happy Birthday, our dearest brother. May your life always be surrounded by joy, good health and endless blessings. We love you more deeply than words could ever express.
