IMPACT Nepal (IN) as a partner of the global movement of IMPACT Foundations was established in 1993 with the mission of preventing disability.

The worldwide IMPACT family is one of like-minded people, many of them volunteers of one sort or another. IMPACT Nepal (IN) as a partner of the global movement of IMPACT Foundations was established in 1993 by the Late Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Prasad with the mission of preventing disability. IN has grown into one of the leading organizations working for prevention of disability in the country. It has been striving to continuously serve the most vulnerable sections of the population and is also making constant efforts to build its institutional capacity in order to achieve its mission.

IMPACT Nepal has constructed and upgraded water supply and gender- friendly toilet facilities at Shree Janata Madhyamik Vidhyalaya, kupahi-6 and shree Madhyamik Vidhyalaya, Barahi Birpur-3 in Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality of Saptari. These improved WASH activities have enhanced the school’s environment benefitting more than 2,000 students through better access to safe, inclusive, hygienic water and sanitation facilities.

The newly constructed IMPACT Nepal Thakodevi Jogendra Bhagat Ear Care Centre in Maleth, Saptari was inaugurated by philanthropist Jogendra Bhagat. The establishment of this centre marks an important step towards improving access to specialized ear health care services in Saptari and surrounding regions.A total number of 19 surgeries were performed during the inauguration period.
