🚧 Construction Update from Madhesh Province

🏗️ The construction of toilets in Sarlahi has officially begun last week, with more than 50 community toilets to be built in the coming days by Volunteer Corps Nepal (VCN).

🚽 This initiative aims to improve sanitation and uplift the health and dignity of local communities.

🇳🇵 It also supports the Government of Nepal’s efforts toward achieving an open defecation–free society.

🌍 In addition, this work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in promoting clean water, sanitation, and sustainable communities.

🤝 Together, we are building healthier, safer, and stronger communities for the future.

🌟 Volunteer Corps Nepal has been a proud institution to work alongside and collaborate with Rotary district 3292 Nepal-Bhutan. VCN is honored that our response and efforts were highlighted at the 18th District Conference held in Pokhara.

🌱 Volunteer Corps Nepal at SEADS Training

👩‍🌾 Volunteer Corps Nepal’s Food Security & Livelihood Adviser, Mrs. Pushpa Bhusal, actively participated in the Standards for Supporting Crop-Related Livelihoods in Emergencies (SEADS) Training of Trainers (ToT). 🤝 She also shared VCN’s field experiences in emergency contexts with FAO, contributing valuable insights on supporting vulnerable communities. 🌾 Together, strengthening resilience and improving livelihoods in times of crisis!
