Empowering women with practical skills that create real change.
At Balaju Height, Kathmandu, our women empowerment program equips participants with professional training in beauty, makeup, nails and hair which builds their confidence, opens pathways to income, and supports long-term independence.

Our Computer and English program in Biratnagar continue to empower students with essential skills for the future. Through hands-on computer training and strong language development, students are building confidence, improving communication, and gaining practical tools for education and career success. With 20 new students joining this semester, the impact is growing even stronger—creating more opportunities for collaboration, leadership, and personal development. We are deeply thankful to Hope Zurich for their generous donation, which made this growth possible.

In December, the HVC volunteers worked very hard to help the community in balaju height. They painted the school to make it look new and organized an Asha football tournament for grade 3 to 5. They also taught math lessons, trained teachers, and helped digitalize the library. Outside the school, they fixed up homes and trained families to use water filters for clean drinking water.

Christmas magic at Asha Vidhyashram School🎄✨
A huge thank you to His Excellency Ambassador Dean R. Thompson and Mrs. Jane Krill Thompson for visiting us today! Along with the incredible U.S. Marines, they made sure every child went home with a gift through the program.
From playing games to opening presents, the happiness in the room was contagious. We are so grateful to the U.S. Embassy for their continued support and for spreading so much love in our community.
