Established in 1999 , Manang Youth Spciety is involved in a number of development projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of people living in Manang District . YEAR PROJECTS
1999----------Established a small library in the high school in manang village.
2000----------Established the tradition of organising annual health and medical camps in Manang district with suppot from different count
ries.

2003----------Promotion campaign for Destinaiton Manang 2004 , a year - long campaign showcasing the best of Manang District with support from Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Annapurna Conservation Area Project ACAP), Trekking Agents Association Of Nepal (TAAN), Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) , Manang Samaj Sewa Samiti (MSSS), Committee ( DDC Manang) , Village Development Committee (VDC), Empower, New Zealand, Nepal Association of Travel Agents (NATA), Tourism Entrepreneur Association Of Manang (TEAM), and Yeti Airlines Private Limited.
2003----------NTV Programme " Mero Geet , Mero Sandesh " to promote Destination Manang 2004 Campaign.
2004----------Destination Manang 2004 Campaign . Revive Badhe Festival .
2005----------Established Manang Cultural Museun at Change Thang , Manang Village with support from New Zealand Agency For International Development (NZAID) .
2005----------Established Recovering Voice as sub-committee of MYS . Today Recovering Voice is a fully registered Non Governmental Organization (NGO) .
2006----------Set up an Information Center in Manang Culture Museum at Change Thang ,in Manang with support from Nepal Tourism Board and World Wildlidfe Fund , Nepa l.
2006----------Organized and sponsored IMPRESSION OF MANANG - an art workshop and exhibition .
2007----------Ongoing Campaign For Destination Manang 2007 , with various programmes exploring nature , activities such as climbing courses and snow leopard watches , and reviving culture and tradition by celebrating festivals like Badhe , Metha , Yartung , and Torkya.
2007----------In Promotion of Trans - Himalayan Region MYS successfully conducted an artistic trek to Manaslu Region.
2007----------Hosted and organized Culture Exchange Programme with German Teachers and Students in Manang District .
2007----------Annual Free Medical Camp was conducted in Na r- Phu Villages of Manang by group of 12 Canadian Doctors .
2008----------Distributed the Books " People in War ", illustrated by Mr . The Books were provided by Nepalaya Publication .
2008----------As part of Destination Manang 2008 Campaign , Grand Yarthung ( Horse Race) Festival was successfully conducted in manang village from 6 - 12 July , 2008.
2008----------An agreement to take over the Manang Small Hydro Power Project on lease for 25 years was undersigned between Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and Manang Youth Society (MYS).
2009---------An art exhibition " The Mountain Of Spirit " was organized at the Garden Of Dreams , Thamel raise Funds to build a community lodge in the Manaslu Region . A concert by the Nepali Folk ensemble KUTUMBA accompanied the exhibition . The exhibition was continued at Hanuman Dhoka , Ktm , Durbar Square and Yala Maya Kendra Patan .
