📍 Story Sharing Sessions in Dolakha
NNDCV conducted a series of Story Sharing Sessions in Dolakha District, Bagmati Province, engaging students and teachers in meaningful conversations on peace, inclusion, and the lived experiences of civilians made disabled during Nepal's armed conflict.
The sessions were held at:
• Shree Kalinchowk Madhyamik Vidhyalaya
• The Modern Nepal School
• Gauri Shanker Multiple Campus
The Rising Star Secondary English Boarding School

The Power of Stories!!!
We believe that stories have the power to educate, inspire, and transform perspectives. As part of our peace education initiative, we traveled to Koshi Province for story-sharing sessions, where the lived experiences of Disabled Conflict Victims were shared with students and teachers across four schools.
Our sessions were held at:
📍 Shree Sahid Aawasiya Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Sunsari
📍 Shree Janta Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Morang
📍 Jhapa Model Secondary School, Jhapa
📍 Shree Sahid Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Jhapa
We were warmly welcomed by the teachers, students, and school communities, whose openness and willingness to listen created a meaningful space for dialogue and reflection.
During these sessions, we shared real stories of conflict, struggle, resilience, and hope. These stories reflected the lived experiences of Disabled Conflict Victims—individuals who have faced immense challenges yet continue to inspire others through their courage, determination, and strength.
Watching the students listen with empathy and genuine interest was truly encouraging. Many shared that the stories deeply moved them and helped them better understand the human impact of conflict, the importance of inclusion, and the value of peace. Their reflections reminded us that storytelling is one of the most powerful tools for building empathy and inspiring positive change.
For us, these sessions were more than storytelling—they were an opportunity to connect generations, preserve lived experiences, and encourage young people to become advocates for peace, compassion, and inclusion.
We continue to believe that every story shared is a step toward healing, understanding, and building a more peaceful future.

🌿 Two Peace Circles Formed in Koshi Province! 🕊
We are excited to share the successful formation of two Peace Circles at Shree Sahid Aawasiya Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Sunsari and Shree Saraswati Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Jhapa!
A total of 15 dedicated students from both schools participated in Peace Circle training designed to empower young people to become leaders in creating safer, more peaceful, and inclusive school environments.
During the training, students explored key topics including:
✨ Understanding conflict, violence, and peace
✨ Active and empathetic listening
✨ Teamwork and collaboration
✨ Identifying school challenges through a peacebuilding lens
✨ Developing creative, student-led solutions to promote harmony and positive change
The participants demonstrated enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong commitment to fostering a culture of peace within their schools.
The newly formed Peace Circles will lead various peacebuilding activities in their respective schools, encouraging dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect among students. These young peacebuilders are ready to inspire positive change and help build schools where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued.
Together, we are nurturing the next generation of peace leaders! 🌱💙

Every Story Matters. Every Voice Deserves to Be Heard.
On 26–27 May 2026, the National Network of Disabled Conflict Victims (NNDCV) successfully organized a two-day Collaborative Story Collection and Writing Workshop in Lumbini Province.
The workshop provided a safe and empowering space for participants to reflect on their life journeys, share their lived experiences, and transform their memories into powerful stories of resilience, courage, and hope. Beyond story writing, it was a valuable opportunity to connect with one another, build trust, strengthen solidarity, and recognize the collective strength within our community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their openness, trust, and willingness to share their personal experiences. Your stories are not only a testament to your resilience but also a powerful reminder that every voice has the power to inspire change, challenge stigma, and promote justice and inclusion. We believe that stories are more than words—they are tools for healing, advocacy, learning, and social transformation. We look forward to amplifying these voices and ensuring that the experiences of disabled conflict victims are heard, valued, and remembered.

अपाङ्गता भएको द्वन्दपीडितको राष्ट्रिय सञ्जाल (NNDCV) ले १० वर्षे सशस्त्र द्वन्द्वको कारण अपाङ्गता भएका सर्वसाधारण नागरिकहरूको जीवन भोगाइ समेटिएको पुस्तक युद्धका जिवीत स्मृतिहरू: श्रृङखला २ को लोकार्पण कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न गरेको छ । यस स्मृतिहरुलाइ बाहिर ल्याउन अहोरात्र खट्ने Padma Gurung र Umesh Dahal लाई पनि धेरै धन्यवाद !
