On the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima, we are honored to share a rare gem from our archives — a tabla solo by our guru Rabin Lal Shrestha, recorded nearly 20 years ago during his personal riyaaz (practice).

This recording is not just a tribute to his artistry, but also a reflection of the deep-rooted tradition of learning, devotion, and silent perseverance passed down through generations.

On this day of honoring our teachers, we extend heartfelt gratitude to all the gurus and maestros who have guided, inspired, and shaped the musical journey of so many — including those within our own community.

We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of a beloved veteran classical musician, singer, and respected teacher - Rabin Das Shrestha.

Jayshree Music Society mourns his loss and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all those who were touched by his art and wisdom.

May his soul find eternal peace. 💐🙏🏼
