We organized our 42nd Eco Hike to spread awareness about the power of plants in protecting our environment and making our world healthier.

Our main goal was to show how growing more plants can fight climate change and bring fresh air to our communities.

A total of 12 hikers joined us, each sharing ideas on simple ways to add more greenery to daily life.

We hiked up Phulchowki Dada, surrounded by beautiful greenish hills full of trees and plants it was a perfect reminder of how nature thrives when we protect it.

Many places are losing trees and plants due to urban growth, and we strongly encourage everyone to start planting in their own spaces. Even at home, you can grow plants in pots to have your own vegetables on the plants it’s fun, saves money on groceries, and cuts down on food transport pollution.

Eco hiking offers great benefits like boosting your health with exercise, lowering stress by being in nature, and building a stronger connection to the planet so we all want to care for it more.

Keep hiking, keep planting, and keep our earth thriving wherever you go.

Thank you so much to all the hikers for your energy and for joining us on this Eco Hike.

Dear Solo Travellers,

Let’s Clean Up Nepal is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring travellers to adopt sustainable habits on their treks and hikes. Our mission is simple to keep the mountains clean so that every adventurer can enjoy pristine trails and breathtaking landscapes. We work to promote responsible tourism and build environmental awareness throughout every journey. Even a small effort, like sharing your story, can have a meaningful impact on future travellers.
We warmly invite you to join the Let’s Clean Up Nepal movement and help us spread awareness among fellow hikers and trekkers.

Participation is completely voluntary. We provide a cleanup kit, and all we ask is that you pack out your own trash, collect at least one kilogram of waste during your hike, and share a story about your eco-friendly experience.

If you’d like to share your story, we’d be delighted to feature it within our community.

Do you believe small actions can help keep our mountains clean? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Let’s Clean Up Nepal together. 💙

Let’s Clean Up Nepal (LCUN) organized a tree plantation program in Diktel Majhuwagadi Municipality, Khotang, in collaboration with the municipality and with generous support from Himalayan Green Trips and the Save the Mountains Initiative.

A total of 530 trees were planted in open spaces at Shree Secondary School Baskot, Shree Jalapa Secondary School, and surrounding community areas. The event saw active participation from students, teachers, local residents, and government representatives.

The main goal was to raise awareness among students and communities about the importance of tree planting and environmental protection. Through this effort, we aim to inspire others to preserve forests and promote sustainable practices across Nepal.

Thank you to everyone who supported the cause, especially those who carried our Save the Mountains bags, and to for their continued partnership. We look forward to growing more together toward a greener, healthier tomorrow.

Special thanks to all the amazing students, dedicated teachers, community leaders, local supporters and volunteers who made this possible. 🌱🌍

Let’s Clean Up Nepal (LCUN) successfully conducted a one day Climate Change Awareness and Interaction Program in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality, Khotang.

The event was made possible through the visionary leadership of Mayor Mr. Tirtha Raj Bhattarai and the enthusiastic participation of dedicated community members.

Located in Nepal’s eastern hills, the municipality is rich in biodiversity but increasingly vulnerable to the effects of climate change. Sixteen representatives from diverse sectors including the Departments of Forests and Agriculture, local ward offices, FNCCI, FOCFUON, schools, NGOs, and neighborhood development committees joined the program.

An LCUN project representative delivered an in-depth presentation on the causes, current impacts, and future risks of climate change, along with actionable steps for mitigation and adaptation.

Participants shared their experiences and committed to taking an active role in protecting their environment. The collective message was clear: saving our ecosystem is a shared responsibility.

LCUN remains committed to supporting the region. We welcome collaboration from individuals and organizations working to improve environmental health, education, and community resilience. Please reach out to join us in this effort.
