Eco-Walk: A Walk For Our Environment | June 5, 2026
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Mid-Town, in collaboration with Mangal Secondary School, Janasewa Secondary School, and Annapurna Secondary School, successfully organized “Eco-Walk: A Walk for Our Environment” under our long term project, “ Project पर्यावरण”.
The event was supported by Nepal Center for Integrated Development (NCID) and the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid-Town. We were also joined by the supporting clubs NCC BIM Connect, Rotaract Club of Liberty College, and Rotaract Club of Balaju.
More than just a walk, the event served as a powerful advocacy campaign for environmental sustainability, bringing together over 130 participants united by a shared commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable future.
To promote eco-conscious practices, participants were provided with eco-friendly tote bags upcycled from second-hand clothes and environment-friendly seed pencils. As part of the initiative, participants also donated second-hand clothing that was no longer in use. The collected garments will be handed over to Good Old Store for upcycling.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the collaborating schools, supporting organizations, and supporting clubs whose contributions made this initiative a success.
Special thanks to Rtn. Anand Tuladhar sir and Bluestar Complex for generously allowing us to utilize the premises during the event.
We would also like to thank all the participants for showing up for a wonderful cause and NCID for supporting us throughout the project “पर्यावरण”. Our heartfelt gratitude to our mentor/advisor Rtn. Dr. Chandra Lekha Tuladhar ma’am and Rtn. Kalpana Parajuli ma’am for their presence and support during the event.
We would also like to thank President Rtn. Bhim Udas sir, IPP Rtn. Rupy Singh ma’am and all the Rotarians who contributed to the cause.
Together, through collective action and environmental awareness, we took a meaningful step toward building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable tomorrow.
