NEPAL DISASTER RELIEF AND RECOVERY PROJECT - TRIBHUVAN TRISHULI SCHOOL, NUWAKOT

Supported students, teachers, and staff of Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Trishuli, Nuwakot, which was completely destroyed and swept away by the recent devastating flash flood. The school is now beginning its educational activities again at a new location.

On 2 October 2026, we provided essential materials to help the school restart and continue its educational activities. The support included water dispensers, dustbins, kitchen utensils, electric cooking stoves, pressure cookers, plates, glasses, bowls, and other essential supplies for the affected teachers and the school.

With around 1,600 students and 60 teachers and staff, restarting education at a new location after such a devastating disaster is a major challenge. Providing these essential resources is an important step toward creating a safe and functional environment where students can continue their education and teachers can resume their work.

Nepal Flood Response Project

On 23 September 2026, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu organized a health camp and provided support to students affected by the recent floods in Nuwakot, including students of Chandra Jyoti Secondary School and those staying at various holding centres.

Through this initiative, more than 400 students benefited from essential educational supplies, hygiene kits, and basic health check-ups, providing much-needed support during this difficult period.

The program was made possible with the generous support of RAWCS - Rotary Australia World Community Service, Rotary Club of Bordertown and Balwyn Rotary.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly in the field and served the affected communities with compassion and commitment during this challenging time.

Together, we continue to make a difference and bring hope to those in need.

🤝 Humanitarian Relief Support to Lo-Manthang, Mustang

In response to the recent earthquake that affected the Lo-Manthang area on Bhadra 23, 2083, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu and Rotary District 3292 have joined hands to provide essential relief support to Shree Dibya Deep Secondary School, Lo-Manthang Rural Municipality–02, Mustang in presence of DG Vishnu B. Karkee on 21 Sep 2026.

Based on the school’s specific needs, the relief package includes tents, blankets, mattresses, and essential medicines, supporting approximately 70 students and teachers.

We hope this small initiative will help create a safer and more secure environment for students and teachers, facilitate the resumption of classes, and contribute to the continuity of quality education in the community. 📚❤️

On 8 September 2026, Rotary Club of Kathmandu distributed essential relief materials-including electric cooking stoves, kitchen utensils, food, hygiene kits blankets—to 180 families affected by the disaster in Kalika Rural Municipality, Rasuwa.

Standing there and witnessing the devastation firsthand, we were reminded of how fragile the line between life and death can be. The pain, fear, and uncertainty visible on the faces of affected families were beyond words. Hearing about a disaster is one thing; standing amidst its aftermath and experiencing its reality up close is something entirely different.

We are grateful to Balwyn Rotary, Keilor East Rotary Club Inc., Rotaract Club of Kathmandu, and Rotaract Club of Sindhuligadi for their valuable collaboration and support.

Together, we stand with the affected communities of Rasuwa and remain committed to supporting them through recovery and rebuilding.

Flood Response Project Rasuwa

On 8 September 2026, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu visited Rasuwa to distribute relief materials and witness firsthand the heartbreaking reality faced by 180 families affected by the devastating floods.

With generous support from the Rotary Club of Balwyn, Rotary Club of Keilor East, and other valued partners, we were able to provide essential relief supplies to the flood-affected people of Kalika Rural Municipality, Rasuwa. The support included 180 electric stoves, kitchen utensils, rice, lentils, blankets, and other essential items.

Standing alongside the affected families and hearing their stories was a deeply moving experience. While the material support may be modest, we hope it brings some comfort, dignity, and a sense of hope during this difficult time.

Together, through compassion, partnership, and service, we can help communities rebuild and recover. Service Above Self.
