Senior Advocate Rtn. Mukunda Sharma Paudel delivered an insightful presentation on “Cheque Bounce and Its Legal Issues.” He highlighted the legal provisions governing cheque dishonor in Nepal, explaining that issuing a cheque without sufficient funds can lead to serious legal consequences under Nepal’s banking laws. The session covered the rights and responsibilities of both issuers and recipients of cheques, recent legal developments, and the procedures available for seeking remedies in cheque bounce cases. The presentation provided valuable legal awareness and practical guidance for members in both personal and professional transactions.

Successful Mental Health Awareness Program

The Rotary Club of Kathmandu organized a successful and impactful “Mind Matters: A Holistic Approach to Mental Wellbeing” mental health awareness program on 23rd May, 2026 at Rotary Bhawan, Thapathali.

The program featured eminent speakers from the fields of psychology and mental health, including Psychologist Pujan Sharma, Dr. Pradeep Pandey, Dr. Suraj Shakya, and Dr. Namrata Pandey. The event saw participation from various personalities, youth, students, and healthcare professionals.

The program aimed to raise awareness about mental health in the community and provided positive energy, inspiration, and useful knowledge to the participants. The Ton Media Group provided special media support, enhancing the program’s reach and impact.

This symposium is jointly organized by RC Kathmandu, RC Kathmandu Metro, ⁠RC Hetauda, ⁠RC Balaju, ⁠RC Kathmandu Circle, RC Kathmandu Height, ⁠RC Gongabu, RC Matribhumi Baluwatar and ⁠RC Godawari.

Rotary Club of Kathmandu, in collaboration with Sambhav Inc, successfully organised a School Mental Health Awareness Program for the students of Classes 8, 9, and 10 at Eureka High School, Tarkeshwor on 22 May, 2026. The session was facilitated by Kabita Sigdel.

The 45-minute interactive session focused on the importance of mental health, emotional well-being, stress management, self-confidence, and positive thinking among students. It provided a supportive platform where students could openly learn, share, and understand the significance of maintaining a healthy mind alongside academic growth.

Mental health awareness in schools plays a vital role in helping students manage emotions, cope with challenges, build resilience, and create healthy relationships. Encouraging conversations around mental well-being also helps reduce stigma and promotes a positive and supportive learning environment for every student. 🌸📚✨

Rotary Club of Kathmandu is proud to share that we have successfully completed 17 ICT Training Programs during RY 2025–26.

Most recently, we conducted the 64th batch of ICT Training for Public School Teachers from May 1–3, 2026. The training was organized for 20 teachers representing four public schools from Ward No. 22 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Lalitpur.

With the completion of this batch, a total of 1,287 teachers from 747 public schools have benefited from this ICT Training Program to date.
