Students of the School of Management, Tribhuvan University (SOMTU) have launched a peaceful protest against the introduction of elections in their institution, demanding that their college remain free from political influence.
For 13 years, SOMTU has maintained a politics-free academic environment, but a newly imposed “Voting Right” threatens to disrupt this stability. Students argue that elections will bring unnecessary political interference, diverting focus from education and institutional growth.
Through their protest, students are calling for the revocation of this decision, emphasizing that education should remain independent of political agendas.
Their message is clear: No Politics in Education!
