We Team of Action Works Nepal (AWON) conducting an on-site monitoring of the areas in Nuwakot affected by the divesting floods of Bhadra 10 was a deeply sobering experience. Witnessing firsthand the immense damage to local settlements bridges, road, Schools and agricultural land highlighted the sheer magnitude of the tragedy and the vulnerability of these communities
In the face of such adversity, our immediate imperative must be to ensure swift relief, safe shelter, and access to essential medial services for all affected residents. Looking ahead rebuilding resilient infrastructure and conducting comprehensive technical assessments are critical to mitigating future risks. AWON remains fully committed to collaborating with local authorities and others stakeholders.
