Our warmest congratulations to Gorakhmaya Rai, who has been awarded the Miteri Ganga Devi Peace Award in recognition of her courageous participation, sacrifice, and outstanding contribution during the 2036 BS Movement and the Chhintang Incident, highlighting the vital role of women in the struggle for justice and peace.
Her struggle has made women stronger and more powerful, inspiring a new generation to lead for justice and peace.
This award is being provided every year on International Peace Day (21st September) beginning from 2015.
