MAPs inventory team witnessed the wide distribution of Rheum australe D. Don, the Himalayan rhubarb, commonly known as Padamchal/पदमचाल/अमलवेद/कराजचुल्ठी/चुल्ठीअमिलो on the way to plot no 97013 at approx. 3,600m elevation in Adanchuli Rural Municipality ward no 5, Humla district.

Our team is heading out for the MAPs inventory, passing slippery, snow-covered trails at an elevation of around 3,900 meters in Tribeni Patan, Badimalika, Bajura district. Despite the harsh terrain and challenging weather conditions, the journey reflects the team’s dedication towards conservation.

Our team is heading out for the MAPs inventory, passing slippery, snow-covered trails at an elevation of around 4,000 meters in Jhakoti Kharka, Mugu district. Despite the harsh terrain and challenging weather conditions, the journey reflects the team’s dedication towards conservation.

Distributed from 1900 to 3100 m throughout Nepal. Prefers damp, shady, moist and humus rich soil under canopy of forest in full shade to partial shade near streams in north facing slopes.

ऐंसेलु Yellow/Golden Himalayan Raspberry
These wild berries are native to the Himalayan region and are prized for their sweet, juicy taste and cultural significance. It grows on large, thorny bushes in the hilly regions. The berries are bright golden-yellow when ripe. Traditionally its roots are used to treat stomach pain and headaches, and its fruits are used to treat indigestion.
