🐾 A New Wild Cat from Bolivia! 🇧🇴
Scientists have described Leopardus tilcayo, the Tilcayo cat, from Bolivia’s Yungas cloud forests — reportedly the first newly described wild cat species in more than a century. At just around 3 pounds, this elusive feline reminds us how much biodiversity remains to be discovered and protected. 🌿🐆
Protect the Yungas. Protect the wild cats. 💚
A small, spotted tiger cat from Bolivia may just be the beginning of a wave of new small cat species.
