From 14–16 Baisakh 2083, the Kakani International Scout Centre came alive with energy, diversity, and shared purpose during the Denmark–Nepal Partnership Project (Phase I) Activity Weekend, organized by Nepal Scouts in collaboration with Denmark Scouts.

Representing Chandragiri Municipality and Aakash Bhairav Open Scout Unit, our proud participants:

Rover Badal Nepali (Squire Badge)
Ranger Yeenka Roka Magar
Ranger Simran Aryal
Saramsha Gyawali

embraced an experience that went far beyond the ordinary.

Living together in shared rooms, scouts built genuine connections turning simple spaces into hubs of friendship, learning, and teamwork. Each moment carried meaning, from interactive sessions to spontaneous conversations that bridged districts and backgrounds.

Evenings unfolded with true scouting spirit. Campfire circles echoed with stories and laughter. Cultural nights celebrated identity, unity, and expression. A unique highlight Danish food-making brought a global touch, where culture was not only shared but experienced together.

With participation from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur, this gathering reflected the strength of scouting as a platform for unity, leadership, and international friendship.

This was not just an event.
It was a connection of cultures.
It was learning in action.
It was scouting at its finest.

Aakash Bhairav Open Scout Unit proudly celebrates this milestone and the journey of our young representatives.

Moments captured. Memories created. Impact continues.

The celebration ends.
The footprints remain.

The Earth quietly holds what we leave behind.
And in that silence, a question stands:

Who takes responsibility?Not everyone stays.
But we do.

We stay when the noise fades. We stay when the work begins. We stay because respect for the Earth is more than a feeling, it’s a choice.

Every piece we pick up is a promise.Every clean step forward is a lesson.Care is not shown in words, but in what we are willing to do after everyone else is gone.

Respect the Earth.
Reduce the waste.
Reuse what you can.
Restore what was left behind.

Because real change doesn’t wait for a perfect moment. It begins with people who decide to act.

Three days, and it finally feels complete.
The same ground that was once filled with crowds, prayers, and noise now feels calm again. Clean, quiet, and taken care of. Not perfectly but honestly.

We started with managing the crowd, staying active in the middle of everything. And when it all ended, we stayed back for what really mattered. Picking up what was left behind, step by step, without rushing it.

Day 3 wasn’t about energy or hype. It was about finishing what we started.

Through our “Wastage Warrior” work under the Scout of the World Award, this became more than just a task. It turned into something we all felt responsible for. No shortcuts, no show just doing the work properly.

Now the Matatirtha service camp comes to an end.
Tired, a bit messy, but satisfied. And somehow, it already feels like we’ll be doing this all over again.
Same place. Same day. Same purpose.

We’ll be back next year with the same team and the same intention to serve.

Three days. One ground. One purpose that keeps unfolding.

At Matatirtha, where faith gathers in the name of mothers and prayers echo for Lord Shiva, we once again stood not just as participants but as silent workers behind the scenes.

Day 1 showed the devotion.
Day 2 revealed the reality.

When the crowd moved on, what stayed behind told another story waste, offerings turned remnants, and a space that needed care as much as it received faith. Through our “Wastage Warrior” initiative under the Scout of the World Award, we stepped forward. Not for recognition, but because service doesn’t end when the crowd disappears.

Every effort added meaning. Every action added responsibility. And somewhere between the dust, the heat, and the long hours, the purpose became even clearer.

But this isn’t where it ends.
The ground still calls for more.
The work is still in motion.
And we’re not done yet.
Day 3 continues…

10 months ago, we walked up to Heaven Dada, known to many as Dhaireni Dada, with a simple intention. It is one of those places where the view makes you pause for a moment, but the scattered waste quietly takes that feeling away. We did a small cleanup that day under our SWA Wastage Warrior initiative, not really knowing what it would turn into.

Today, when we returned, it felt different.

What started as a small effort from our side has slowly grown into something shared. Chandragiri Hikers Community, Thankot Jaycees, Gairigaun Homestay, and local community members have stepped in, taken ownership, and continued the same spirit of care for this place. Seeing that shift is honestly more satisfying than any single cleanup we have done.

We carried out another sanitation activity today, but what stayed with us was not just the work, it was the people. More hands, more awareness, and a quiet understanding that this place belongs to all of us. Around a hundred individuals are now part of this effort in one way or another, and that number itself tells a story.

This is what scouting teaches us. You start with action, stay consistent, and over time, others begin to believe in it too.

We are grateful to everyone who has walked alongside us so far. And we will keep going, together, for Heaven Dada.
