🚨 Strengthening Local Disaster Preparedness in Chitwan! 🚨
📍 Ratnanagar, Chitwan | 9 May 2025

Today, NDRC Nepal, under the National Preparedness Partnership (NPP) and with support from ADPC through the ADRF program, organized a landmark handover ceremony to boost local disaster readiness.

👏 The event, attended by Ms. Roni from ADPC, marked the official handover of
✅ Local Emergency Operations Center (LEOC) materials to Ratnanagar & Khairahani Municipalities
✅ Local Search and Rescue (LSAR) equipment to CBDRM Committees in Ramailo Basti (Ratnanagar-8) & Khairahani-1

🔧 This support is part of a larger effort to establish fully operational LEOCs and equip high-risk communities in Ratnanagar, Khairahani, Kalika, and Madi.

💪 Why this matters:
✔️ Empowers municipalities to lead coordinated disaster response
✔️ Equips communities with lifesaving tools
✔️ Enhances resilience & local capacity in line with Nepal’s DRRM and Local Governance laws

Together, we are building stronger, safer communities—prepared to act, ready to respond. 🙌🌱
