Building Peace and Security they Deserve
Nepal Peacebuilding Initiative (NPI) is non-profit making organization devoted to evidence-based policy and action on security and development issues. NPI works with government agencies, civil society organizations and community members to enhance their peacebuilding capability. NPI engages in research, analysis and dialogue, in order to improve local and national policies and practices that can help build lasting peace.
NPI works on peacebuilding and development issues, by implementing both practical and research projects. Projects are conducted individually or through collaboration with government agencies, mainly the Nepal Police; where as, research is conducted in collaboration with universities and think tanks based outside Nepal. Furthermore we work with members of parliament, the media and former rebel leaders to achieve our goal to enhance local input on security and development interventions and strengthen the capacity of societies to build durable peace.
Goal: Enhance local input on security and development interventions and strengthen the capacity of societies to build durable peace.
Mission: To make Nepal a safe and secure place to live for all
