An incredibly inspiring and enriching day participating in the industrial study and observation visit organized by the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (WEAN), Kaski. Spending time at the Pokhara Womens Skills Development center provided a profound firsthand look at the sheer dedication, skill, and artistry that drives grassroots economic empowerment.

The journey through their production space was remarkable from witnessing the meticulous, traditional process of boiling and dyeing raw yarn in the workshop bays, to exploring shelves filled with beautifully detailed, handmade plush toys, puppets, and woven textiles. Every corner of the facility reflects a deep commitment to preserving local heritage while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for women.

Observing the tangible impact of women-led entrepreneurship in action is a powerful reminder of how community-focused initiatives can foster true independence, creativity, and resilience. A huge thank you to the organizers at WEAN, Kaski, and the incredible artisans for their warm hospitality, for sharing their knowledge, and for continuing to lead the way in sustainable, impactful community development.
