Day 4 of the 6-day Export Readiness Training brought together 16 promising women agri-entrepreneurs for an enriching learning experience focused on navigating international markets and unlocking export opportunities.
Through hands-on sessions on ITC's Trade Map, Market Access Map (MacMap), export procedures, trade compliance, and rules of origin, participants gained practical tools to analyze global market trends and better position their products for export.
The discussions highlighted the growing potential of climate-resilient and value-added agricultural products in international trade.
The training featured expert-led sessions by Mr. Rajan Sharma and Mr. Suyash Khanal, who shared valuable insights on export market access, logistics, and trade requirements. Participants also benefited from an inspiring experience-sharing session by Ms. Purnima Shrestha, who reflected on her journey of taking Nepalese Sichuan pepper and spices to international markets such as Germany, Switzerland, and Australia.
Adding further value to the program, Mr. Umesh Gupta, Former Executive Director- IEDI-Government of Nepal, introduced participants to Nepal's startup ecosystem, startup financing mechanisms, business incubation services, proposal evaluation processes, and opportunities available for emerging entrepreneurs.
As the training progresses, women entrepreneurs are gaining the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to transform local products into globally competitive brands.
