Our main aim is to promote Buddhism to the people of Nepal. Nepal is the birthplace of Buddha but many Nepalese people have not had the opportunity to learn about Buddhist philosophy. One of our projects is to introduce Buddhism in the remote areas by making prayer books available to local people and teaching them how to recite the texts as well as helping them learn practices such as meditation.
We will also teach the meaning of the prayers which will give them a firm foundation in Buddhism. We also want to help the monks and nuns in remote areas so they can teach their own communities about Buddhism. Another project for Karuna Maitri Nepal is running soup kitchens for poor people in various parts of Nepal, especially for those who are suffering from hunger and starvation. Another project is to set up Buddhist Depression Clinics as many people are finding it difficult to manage in the modern day world. With all these projects we will work with the young people to help train them and guide them for the future. We welcome volunteers from any country to help us with our projects. Everyone is welcome. If you can contribute to any of these projects, please contact leave a message on Facebook or email: [email protected]
