A National Consultation on “Strengthening Advocacy on Child Marriage & UPR Recommendations” was successfully conducted in Kathmandu, Bagmati Province by NMWWS, in collaboration with NIWF and ADRF, with the support of Equality Now.

The consultation shed light on the urgent need to address child marriage, highlighting gaps in awareness, reporting, and prosecution; the wide-ranging impacts on education, health, SRHR, and mental well-being; and the importance of multi-sector coordination and a survivor-centered approach.
The program aimed to strengthen advocacy, present key UPR findings, uphold the legal marriage age of 20 years, and finalize recommendations for memorandums to provincial and federal governments.

Nepal Muslim Women’s Welfare Society (NMWWS) is looking for a committed female Social Mobilizer to join our team under the Hamro Sahas Project. This role is an opportunity to work directly with communities, uplift marginalized women, and contribute to inclusive social change.

✨ Your Role:
As a Social Mobilizer, you will:

• Mobilize women, youth, and marginalized groups for active participation.

• Organize awareness sessions, group meetings, and community events.

• Coordinate with schools, ward offices, women’s groups, and health centers.

• Collect field data, stories of change, and community feedback.

• Submit activity reports on time and stay punctual in communication (email/phone).

• Help mediate local issues that may affect project activities.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Female candidate (mandatory) – Muslim background encouraged.

• Education: Minimum +2 (Intermediate); Bachelor’s preferred.

• Strong communication skills in Nepali and local dialects.

• Willingness to travel frequently in rural areas.
