NMWWS successfully conducted a Political Dialogue on Women's Political Participation and Leadershipon 24 July 2026 at Hotel Gautam Buddha, Taulihawa under the Hamro Sahas Project, with the support of UN Women Nepal and UK Aid.

The dialogue brought together Ward Chairpersons (Wards 1–6) of Yashodhara Rural Municipality, women political leaders from different political parties, representatives of consortium partner organizations, and stakeholders from Muslim, Dalit, Madhesi, LGBTQI, and other local communities. The discussion was highly interactive and focused on the gaps, challenges, and opportunities for advancing women's meaningful political participation and leadership.

Together, we continue working towards inclusive leadership, gender equality, and stronger participation of women in decision-making.

Nepal Muslim Women Welfare Society (NMWWS), in collaboration with Lumbini Disability Development Centre (LDDC), Kapilvastu, officially handed over the finalized Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Policy to Yashodhara Rural Municipality under the Hamro Sahas Project, supported by UN Women.

The handover program was attended by the Chairpersons of Wards 1–6, the Social Development Officer, and Assistant Women Development Inspectors of Yashodhara Rural Municipality, representatives from Hamro Sahas Project partner organizations, ,Navajivan, WOREC, FEDO Kapilvastu, and Kishori Adhikar Manch, as well as the LDDC team and other local stakeholders.

NMWWS successfully conducted a Workshop to Support Local Governments in the Development and Implementation of the GBV Action Plan on 23 July 2026 at Hotel Gautam Buddha, Taulihawa,under the Hamro Sahas Project, with the support of UN Women Nepal and UK Aid.

The workshop brought together local government representatives, concerned authorities, and key stakeholders to strengthen institutional capacity for developing and implementing an effective Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Action Plan. The interactive sessions reinforced collaboration and collective commitment to preventing and responding to GBV at the local level.

NMWWS successfully conducted a three-day "Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and GEDSI Training" from 13-15 July ,2026 in Nagarjun Resort under the Hamro Sahas Project with the support of UN Women.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our trainers, Ms. Tanuja Basnet and Mr. Buddhi Lal Chaudhary, for their insightful facilitation and valuable guidance throughout the training.
