Volunteering in Nepal
Welcome to your experience with our host family in Nepal exploring & experiencing Local traditional culture of Nepal along with social volunteering activities. Since the devastating earthquake in 2015, Nepal especially Kathmandu has suffered greatly. Many buildings have collapsed and the restoration is ongoing. There has been a rise in orphaned children and disabled children and adults. The volunteer work you will be potentially doing would be directly with these people. Nepal has a number of other social issues that your volunteer work will be aiding. While in Nepal you can see Nepali culture and traditions as along with visiting a variety of beautiful places in Nepal.
Among the volunteer placements, there is elderly home, there are 15 people staying in elderly home. You will help them cooking food, cleaning the rooms and sometimes helping in laundry as well.
There is a school where children study from Primary level to Secondary Level. This placement will involve you teach them English, math, science, Health & Environment etc.
Volunteers interested in doing construction work can volunteer with our restoration projects such as re building walls and helping to rebuild temples and stupa.
