Here at the girls’ dormitory, we support young women who were unable to continue Grades 11 and 12—one of the most vulnerable stages in Nepal, between the ages of 16–18. At this age, many girls struggle to find a path forward in their education, often because their families do not have the financial capacity to support further schooling. According to UNICEF, 35% percentage of girls in Nepal are married before the age of 18.
Education plays a critical role—girls with no formal education are much more vulnerable, with child marriage rates reaching over 70% in this group (The Child Marriage Data Portal).
At The Small World Girls’ Education Program, we focus not only on academics but also on holistic development. Alongside their studies, the girls participate in sports, dancing, public speaking, service projects, and problem-solving activities.
Our girls come from diverse backgrounds—different villages, castes, and languages—but they live together, share rooms, meals, and build a strong sense of sisterhood and love.
We are nurturing a stronger, more confident generation and building a better community for tomorrow.
Today, our girls are enjoying a game of volleyball—learning teamwork, confidence, and joy. 💛
