RUWDUC Rural Women's Development And Unity Center RUWDUC is the first women -led NGO to be established in all Far-Western Development Region.

The Rural Women's Development and Unity Center (RUWDUC) was established in April 1995 by a group of women from the Far-Western Development Region (FWDR) of Nepal. RUWDUC's founders aimed to contribute to changing the low social and economic progress of the region, especially the status of women and children of the region. RUWDUC has been instrumental in initiating a revolution amongst women by enc

ouraging and establishing their leadership in a number of the arenas, including peace-building, mediation and health activism. VISION
To contribute to the overall improvement in the quality of life of women, children and youth, especially from socially disadvantage groups of the Far-Western Development Region of Nepal. MISSION
Mentor the leadership of women, youth and socially disadvantaged for proactive social and economic development and to strengthen a prosperous, harmonious and peaceful Far-Western Development Region. OBJECTIVES
 To establish baseline information and database about key social development issues of the FWDR.
 To create awareness in the FWDR about issues which need immediate, mid- term and longer-term response.
 To lobby policy-makers for improvement in the quality of life of all people of this region. Especially the socially disadvantaged.
 To bridge gaps and design and implement essential programmers for the people of this area.
 To ensure the emergence of a strong and empowered civil society in the region.
