However, they face serious threats such as habitat loss, climate change, and pollution.

On the occasion of the 44th BCN Day, Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN) organized an exciting Bird Race on 24th April, 2026 at Naudhara Community Forest of Godawari, Lalitpur.

It was wonderful to witness such enthusiastic participation and passion for birds and nature. Following the Bird Race, a lively Bird Quiz was also held, where an active number of students and BCN members participated with great enthusiasm.

Unveiling of new publications like Checklist of Resunga, Checklist of Madane and Training Manual were also a part of the event.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event a grand success. Here's to more years of working together for the conservation of Nepal's rich avian biodiversity!
