Samartha Nepal is a profit not-sharing company registered under the Office of Company Registrar and affiliated to the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal. We are committed to bring about sustainable changes in health and education sector, at the community level, through education and awareness programs. Our team comprises members and professionals from diverse backgrounds including medicine, social work, information technology, etc. who are complementing each other to deliver information and education to help people better understand the concepts and practices that professionals like ourselves have been trying to implement in the past years.
Information and education contents development on social issues which are disseminated through efficient use of technology in as many regional and local languages as possible.
Awareness and screening camps focused on Non-communicable diseases (NDs) that account for up to 45% of the total annual deaths in Nepal. The aim of conducting such programs is prevention and early detection of NCDs for timely and effective management. These camps are conducted through combined efforts of people from diverse groups - legislature, health specialists, youth volunteers, women, members from marginalized group etc. to create a healthy community.
Liaison between policy makers, professionals and community leaders to bring about necessary changes in the community and improve citizen’s access to services
Disaster preparedness and information generation software to ensure effective as well as efficient post-disaster management (On-going).
PROGRAMS
1. Janata Clinic is a social health movement, designed to meet the need of specialist health awareness and screening in a voluntary design. It attempts to address the exigency of health services in a mezzo level in the beginning and in the macro level with the course of time. It acts as a mediator for expert healthcare professionals and local level clients and stakeholders for a better and healthy society. From the Member of Parliament to the Health Specialist, youth volunteers, elderly and children and other marginalized portion of the community, Janata Clinic acts as a place for social interaction and welfare oriented service providers strengthening the integrity and amelioration of the society.
2. Impact Hike is a first of its kind, monthly charity hiking event aimed at crowd sourcing funds for supporting the Back To School Nepal campaign being run by Samartha Nepal. On a longer run, this campaign will be an open forum for crowdfunding for campaigns and programs that are aimed at bringing an impact to the society.
Samartha Helpline is an initiative of Samartha Nepal to provide an online portal to collect reports from disaster victims using SMS reporting system and organize rapid response, while documenting on field activities with real time mapping tools.
