We went to see a theater play that was depicting the life of the Great Yogi Milarepa. The comedians were amazing and the play was so well made! We all had a fabulous time and we look forward to seeing more theater plays.
(Event sponsored by Lobsang sangbo and Raissa).
Nyima Dolma:
Melarepa is one of the greatest yogis in Tibetan Buddhism. His life itself is a teaching. He suffered deeply, brought disasters that made serious mistake, practice with great hardship, and finally reached enlightenment. Because of this his teaching are very practical and real not just a philosophy.
Phurbu Bhuti:
After death, only thing that, we are talking is our sin , virtue and kindness. Love and compassion can even change our enemy's heart.
Tsering Khando:
I have been hearing about the story of Melarepa from school but after seeing the act it feels very real and emotional. The Moral is that we we shouldn't lie. One who work hard will success.
Lhakpa Dolma:
We should be patient to achieve something. According to dharma, money is nothing compared to good karma and virtue.
Tsering Sangmo
Most important lesson that I learned from this story is we should not go after property. We shouldn't misuse our power. We shouldn't judge people by their looks. Whatever bad thing we do to others will come back to our self.
Tsewang Bhuti
According to Buddhist, karma is if other are doing bad to us we shouldn't do same thing instead we should feed them back by loving and compassion. Money and property is not everything.
Suren:
According to Guru Rinpoche, until and unless we are enlighten and there is no pure happiness.
Sonam Choden:
Our struggles and suffering are nothing compared to Melarepa's story.
We shouldn't give up until and unless we succeed. We should be satisfied with what we have because after death there is nothing we can take with.
Tsering Bhuti:
A mother's love are so pure or true that sometimes it makes us fail to success. If we want to become happy, a small and simple thing can make us happy.
Lalita:
Education and darma shouldn't be only in books we should utilise it in our daily life then only it's darma.Money can't buy darma. Whatever we do karma will do it back to us.
Anil Gurung:
What i learned from Melarepa's story is that if we never do hard work we will not be successful in our life. To be successful we need dedication and patience.
Urgyen:
The story of Melarepa was full of dedication and inspiring. What I learned from this story is we shouldn't chase after money or property. The main purpose of our life should be achieve enlightenment and maintain peace 🕊️ and happiness. This drama shows that how much impact can get to our society or other just because of only few people's doing.Karma is the only thing that we can take along with us after death. So wealth or property we have now is just a temporary after death. The major way to do darma is forgiveness, being compassion, patience, kindness and honesty.
Som:
I think our time and money just worth it for yesterday's drama. What i got is that how much hatred and revenge can destroy everything.
Lhakpa Tsering:
I feel myself very fortunate to see the drama of Melarepa and heard the name of Melarepa. So through the drama I learned that all the sentient being has suffering until reach enlightenment. So we don't attach too much on the property or money because at last we have nothing to do with it. The practice of darma is beneficial for cultivation of our mind.
