On January 12, 2026, iDE Nepal convened the โ๐ถ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฆ๐ง๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐-๐น๐๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ธ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ โ๐๐โ event, bringing together stakeholders from government, the private sector, research, innovation, and investment to explore how ๐๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฅโ๐ฌ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข-๐๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. ๐๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฒ๐๐ซ, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and Minister of Water Supply, as Chief Guestโreinforcing the Government of Nepalโs commitment to leveraging digital solutions to improve productivity, market access, and resilience for smallholder farmers.
As emphasized, digital innovation is no longer optionalโit is essential for strengthening value chains, addressing climate challenges, and connecting farmers more efficiently to markets.
We were also honored to receive special remarks from ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ, Deputy Head of Mission, Australian Embassy, Nepal, who highlighted the importance of partnerships and innovation in ensuring digital solutions translate into real, measurable benefits for farmers and agri-entrepreneurs.
A thought-provoking panel discussion brought together leaders from policy, private sector, research, innovation, and investment to explore how digital solutions can move beyond pilots and scale.
