Every organization wants its CSR to create real, measurable change.

NIMB chose to invest in a solution where every contribution creates impact you can measure. Through its partnership with Chakraviu Nepal, 1,728 post consumer denim was transformed into educational opportunities for children, while simultaneously reducing textile waste and supporting green livelihood.

432 children now carry upcycled school kits to school.
1,728 jeans received a new life.
1,152 kg of textile waste never reached landfill.
13 million litres of water were preserved through reuse.
57.6 tons of CO₂e emissions were avoided.

At Chakraviu Nepal, we believe the future of CSR lies in solutions that are measurable, scalable, and deeply meaningful. Together with forward-thinking partners like NIMB, we’re proving that sustainability isn’t just a commitment, it’s something you can see, count, and carry to school.

When MetLife Insurance Nepal came across our work online, they didn't just engage with the post, they took action.

They organized an internal jeans drive across their employees in the Kathmandu Valley, encouraging their team to give old denim a second life instead of letting it go to waste.

The result?

192 pairs of donated jeans.

Soon, those jeans will be transformed into upcycled school bags and stationery pouches for children in rural Nepal, turning a simple workplace initiative into something children will carry with pride every day.

This is what corporate sustainability looks like.

Not just talking about impact, but creating it.
Not just setting goals, but inviting employees to be part of the solution.

A heartfelt thank you to MetLife Insurance Nepal and every employee who opened their wardrobe to open new opportunities for a child.

Because sometimes, the journey from a corporate office in Kathmandu to a classroom in rural Nepal begins with a single pair of jeans.

This is what happens when young people stop waiting for opportunities and start creating them.

When Aayushka Karki and Bishesh Joshi, members of the first cohort of Chakraviu Nepal’s Circular Economy Ambassadors, joined the program, they didn’t wait for instructions.

They went looking for opportunities.

They connected with Thrift by KUSH, shared our mission, and convinced them to donate 123 pairs of pre-loved jeans instead of letting them sit unsold or go to waste.

Those 123 pairs of jeans are now on their way to becoming upcycled school bags for children in rural Nepal.

That’s the kind of leadership we believe in.

Not leadership that waits for permission.
Leadership that creates partnerships, solves problems, and turns conversations into impact.

To Thrift by KUSH, thank you for believing that fashion can have a second life beyond the wardrobe.
