Membership Orientation & Weekly Regular Meeting | Rotary Club of Kathmandu North

On Sunday, August 16 (Shrawan 31), Rotary Club of Kathmandu North successfully conducted its Membership Orientation Program along with the 1406th Weekly Regular Meeting at Hotel Shanker, Lazimpat, under the chairmanship of Club President Rtn. Sita Poudel.

We were honored to have Rtn. Bishnuhari Dahal, District Membership Chair, as the Guest Speaker. With the meaningful participation of our new members and club officers, the session was highly informative, engaging, and inspiring.

Guest speaker,Rtn. Dahal shared valuable insights on membership growth and retention, member satisfaction surveys, roles and responsibilities of Rotarians, and Rotary District and International goals and priorities.

The orientation further strengthened our understanding of what it truly means to be a Rotarian—to rise above personal interests and dedicate ourselves to meaningful humanitarian and social service.

The session inspired our members to become more active, committed, and responsible Rotarians, contributing through service toward positive, sustainable development and meaningful transformation in our communities

A special highlight of the program was the induction of Mr. Suraj Bhusal, Tax Consultant, Auditor, and successful young entrepreneur, as a new member of the Rotary family. We warmly welcome Rtn. Suraj Bhusal to Rotary Club of Kathmandu North and congratulate him on becoming a part of this global family of service.

We are confident that his professional expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment will further enrich our club and contribute meaningfully to our service initiatives.

The orientation further strengthened our understanding of what it truly means to be a Rotarian—to rise above personal interests and dedicate ourselves to meaningful humanitarian and social service.

1405th Regular Weekly Meeting | Rotary Club of Kathmandu North

The 1405th Regular Weekly Meeting of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu North was held this Sunday at 5:30 PM at Hotel Shanker, Lazimpat, under the chairmanship of Club President Rtn. Sita Maya Poudel.

The meeting made important decisions, including conducting a Rotary Orientation Session for new members by a District Trainer and organizing COLS (Club Officer Learning Seminar). The meeting also discussed upcoming service projects and several other important club initiatives aimed at strengthening our service and fellowship.

We were also delighted to warmly welcome Prospective Member Rtn. Gobinda Dhakal to the meeting. We look forward to his continued engagement and association with our Rotary family.

🌱 Planting Trees, Creating a Lasting Impact 🌱

Today, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu North, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Kathmandu North, Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Medical College, Rotaract Club of Kantipur Dental College, and Rotaract Club of Reliance College, coordinated by Green Valley Green Nepal, successfully planted 200 fruit tree saplings at Tinpipley, Tarkeshwor-5.

Tree plantation is far more than planting saplings—it is a promise to future generations. Every tree helps restore nature, purifies the air, conserves soil and water, supports biodiversity, and strengthens climate resilience. Fruit trees also contribute to food security and provide lasting benefits to local communities for years to come.

Together, we are not just planting trees—we are planting hope, responsibility, and a greener future.
