🌸 A Heartfelt Recognition 🌸

We are proud to share that our Charter President, Taradevi Shrestha, has been recognised by Nepal Cancer Support Group (NCSG), Harisiddhi, for her generous contribution and continued support to cancer patients.

She had established an Akshaya Kosh of Rs. 7,00,000 dedicated to supporting cancer patients in need. Her compassion and commitment to service truly reflect the spirit of Friendship, Service & Fellowship. Dr. Sudip Shrestha, founding President of NCSG, honoured Ms. Taradevi Shrestha with a Dosalla and Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her meaningful contribution.

On 5th September 2026, with heavy hearts, the Inner Wheel Club of Buddhanagar (Cancer Survivor Group) joined 19 Inner Wheel Clubs of Kathmandu Valley in a candle-lighting tribute to the victims of the Bhotekoshi flash flood, while contributing through Inner Wheel District 350 to support the affected families.

May the departed souls rest in eternal peace, and may those affected find strength, hope, and healing. 🕯️🙏

The devastating flash floods in Rasuwa and along the Bhotekoshi River have left behind unimaginable loss. Lives lost, families separated, homes and infrastructure swept away and hundreds still unaccounted for. At times like this, our thoughts are with every family waiting for news of their loved ones, the communities facing this tragedy and the brave rescuers working through incredibly difficult conditions. May those who are missing be found safe. May the injured recover. And may every affected family find strength in the days ahead.

🌱 Growing Together, Serving Together 🌱

Inner Wheel Club of Buddhanagar (Cancer Survivors Group) successfully carried out its first Club Activity of the Inner Wheel Year 2026–2027 with a meaningful Tree Plantation Programme at Nar Narayan Baba Ashram, Thankot.

We were delighted to plant a variety of fruit trees along with dragon fruit plants, adding greenery while creating the possibility of a fruitful future for the children of the Ashram. 🌳🌱

The programme was especially meaningful as Club Charter President Tara Amatya, one of the founding members and Founding Treasurer of the Ashram, has been supporting the children annually in her capacity.

Beginning our new year under the leadership of President Indira Pradhananga with a commitment to environmental care, community service and fellowship was truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to all our members for their enthusiastic participation and contribution in making this first activity a success.

🌱 May the trees we planted today grow strong, bear fruit and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

🌸 A Meaningful Beginning to a New Inner Wheel Year 🌸

The Inner Wheel Club of Buddhanagar (Cancer Survivors Group) successfully held its first official club meeting under the leadership of our newly installed President, Indira Pradhananga, marking a purposeful beginning to the Inner Wheel Year 2026–2027.

📍 Venue: Café Delight and Lunch Bite, Kalanki

The meeting brought together leadership, recognition, and continued service, setting a strong foundation for the year ahead.

✨ Highlights of the Meeting:
🔹 Board Orientation & Responsibilities
The newly installed Board members were oriented on their respective roles and responsibilities, strengthening our commitment to working together effectively throughout the year.
🌷 Honouring Courage & Resilience
We were privileged to honour Bobby Shakya, our Club Secretary and a four-time cancer survivor, whose courage, resilience, and continued dedication to service remain an inspiration to us all.
💗 Continuing “Live With Dignity”
As part of our ongoing “Live With Dignity – Padded Bra Support Program,” we are proud to announce that Rejina Mulmi, a breast cancer survivor herself, a member of our Club, and an Ambassador of the Live With Dignity initiative, has been commissioned to produce the next batch of silicon-stuffed prosthetic bra puffs.

This marks another important step in strengthening our initiative and ensuring continued support for women affected by breast cancer—helping them move forward with greater comfort, confidence, and dignity.

As we begin this new chapter, we look forward to continuing our journey of friendship, fellowship, and purposeful service.

🌸 A New Chapter Begins – 4th Club Installation Ceremony 🌸

With immense pride and gratitude, Inner Wheel Club of Buddhanagar (Cancer Survivors Group) successfully celebrated its 4th Club Installation Ceremony, marking the beginning of the Inner Wheel Year 2026–2027. Indira Pradhananga was installed as Club President by Chief Guest District Chairman Dr. Sristee Shrestha Prajapati and Charter Certificate was presented by Charter President Taradevi Shrestha. Also, Immediate Past President Nani Maya Tamang was honored for her successful tenure.

A special highlight of the ceremony was the induction of four new members into our Inner Wheel family:

💛 Sangita Amatya

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chief Guest District Chairman Dr. Sristee Shrestha Prajapati, Guest of Honor National Representative Gyanu Shrestha, District Secretary Manju Shakya, Club Members and fellow club presidents and secretaries whose gracious presence made the ceremony truly memorable.
