The Women for Women Forum (WFWF) is a grassroots non-governmental organization (NGO) that strives to empower women through increasing the participation of women in development activities, specifically in rural communities. The vision of WFWF is the “establishment of a self-sustaining entity that works towards the development of communities in need, with a focus on women within these communities.”

Nine Nepalese women established WFWF in 1994 with a goal that eventually became their mission statement: “to empower women towards economic independence by raising their social, economic, political, educational and health status.” To date, WFWF has helped thousands of families in the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding villages in areas including, but not limited to, women empowerment, micro-finance, reproductive health training, increasing their social capital, and livestock training and management.
