Life 2 Nepal has a dynamic team, founded in 2016 by Mr Roberto Rea, an Italian living in Ireland, and Mr Mr Ghan AMGAIN, a Nepali from the Gorkha region living in Kathmandu. They met in the Happily Ever After Hostel, Kathmandu. The Life2Nepal concept was developed to provide information on the medical and pharmacy sectors. ive – 84000USD/60000Euro. You are only eligible for treatment if you are waiting for a transplant or have a serious cirrhosis of the liver. Roberto did not want to wait for his disease to progress to this before receiving treatment. He realised that he can receive generic brand treatment for just 1000USD. This includes visits to the clinic and advice from a haematology doctor for the best medicine and treatment for the particular genotype of disease. He is now cured!! Roberto started initially Life2 to raise awareness of the injustices of the pharmaceutical companies. He wanted to let people know that treatment is possible by travelling to other countries and receiving generic treatment. Your health does not need to be made worse due to the greed of the pharmaceutical companies. He also discovered, however, these injustices are worldwide and even though he could get treatment in Nepal for a good price for him, many Nepali people are poor and unable to afford medicines in their own country either. He witnessed a lot of corruption in health and governement, making daily lives of many Nepali people difficult. His priority was to make sure people are aware of the injustices and ways to access the care they need, while also making people aware of the people of the corruption and health problems in Nepal. The project has started in Nepal but with a view to become multi-national. He then decided to develop ‘Life2′ into ‘Life2Nepal’ with Ghan, owner of the Happily Ever After Hostel in Kathmandu where he had been staying for 4 months. He decided that not only should Life2Nepal be raising awareness of pharmaceutical industry injustices, but also he wanted to give back to the country and the people that had essentially saved his life. Life2Nepal now raises awareness but also raises money to give to small projects in Nepal that support Nepali people directly. Life2Nepal also believes in encouraging people to start their own projects and finding ways to support small projects. Life2Nepal has started by supporting the Mandali School Project.
