Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) is pleased to share that its Vice President, Mr. Gaurav Tayal, will be participating as a distinguished speaker in NDTV World’s “Anviksha – Ideas Across Borders: The India-Nepal Dialogue.”

The high-level dialogue, themed “A Tale of Two Nations, A World of Questions,” will bring together prominent political leaders, policymakers, diplomats, business leaders, and public figures from Nepal and India to discuss the evolving relationship between the two countries and issues of mutual interest.

We are delighted to congratulate Mrs. Susan Karmacharya, Permanent Invitee, Nepal–India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI), on successfully achieving the financial closure of the 440 MW Tila-1 Hydropower Project, one of Nepal’s largest privately developed hydropower projects.

With an estimated project cost of NPR 59.4 billion and consortium debt financing of NPR 44.55 billion, this landmark financial closure represents a significant milestone for Nepal’s hydropower sector and energy development.

This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it stands as one of the largest-ever financial closure deals for a privately developed hydropower project in Nepal.

NICCI is proud to recognize this remarkable accomplishment and wishes Mrs. Karmacharya and her entire team continued success in advancing Nepal’s energy security, economic growth, and sustainable development.
