We are A Grassroots on the ground local Nepali-Run Non-Profit Organization. Future Generation Nepal (FGN) is a Nepal Government registered nonprofit organization founded in 2019 by a young and dynamic team of passionate individuals. Our senior staffs have over 15 years of experience in child protection, human rights, and social

development. We are experts in the deinstitutionalization of childcare homes including rescues, managing “temporary safe houses”, family reintegration, and alternative care. Poverty can be a key factor in family separation and Future Generation Nepal offers family-strengthening livelihoods to families in need and is vulnerable to child trafficking. Our staff are experienced “first responders” to unplanned situations caused by natural disasters and emergencies. We first learned these skills during the Nepal earthquake in 2015 and used them during the COVID-19 pandemic to help over 100 vulnerable families and children. We provided families and their children with relief support including food, supplies, and hygiene kits to survive the Covid-19 crisis and not become the victims of traffickers. Our team is trained, experienced, and reliable in implementing projects for our funding partners. Stakeholder Engagement Workshop on “Young Lives in Alternative Care”

On 29th July 2025, we successfully hosted a stakeholder engagement workshop in Kathmandu.
The event was jointly organised by Future Generation Nepal (FGN) and London Metropolitan University, funded by The British Academy BA/Leverhulme, with the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens (MoWCS) represented as the chief guest.
Highlights of the day:

🎤 Dr Shovita Dhakal Adhikari and Kabita Luitel presented their preliminary research findings.
💡 Participants provided valuable suggestions and comments on the initial findings, helping to shape the future direction of the research.
💬 A dynamic panel discussion featuring representatives from the National Child Rights Council (NCRC), Raksirang Municipality, a care leaver representing ACYS, the The Umbrella Foundation Nepal and Future Generation Nepal.
🤝 Engagement from diverse stakeholders, including teachers, members of civil society, the Inclusive Network, researchers, care leavers, government officials, and child care homes.
Your insights, feedback, and collaboration made this event a success.
